I was on the Red Sox website and they mentioned another link to buy tickets, which I thought was interesting. I'm surprised that there is a local ticket site competing for tickets. I'm also curious as to how this works logistically. Does one site get half the seats and the other get the other half?

Has anyone ever seen something like this?

Also, it doesn't say anything on the Red Sox site about season ticket holders getting early tickets either. Of course they may not be telling us common folk. If you're a season ticket holder they probably notify you by mail.

My impression is that Teaparty Concerts will not actually be selling the tickets. In tiny print at the bottom of that page you see that...

So I think come ticket buying time the boston.cc.com website will actually redirect you to Ticketmaster's web site. Which in heavy usage periods could cause a very unwelcome delay.

Haven't seen anything yet for season ticket holders either.
