a toilet seat would be a fair description of a fenway seat

I have trouble believing that they pre-sold 59,000 tickets.

Good luck everyone - I'll probably see some of you in line!!!
Time to keep my phins crossed!!!
. . . again, what type of connection does your "friend" have.

I almost want to beleive this for the followin reasons:
Season ticket holders are broken out into 2 or 3 groups.
There are the ones who have every game,
then there are the ones who have weekend packages,
and others who have weekday packages.
(or something like that)

What this means is that instead of just 35,000 seats or what ever the capacity is of the place, you have to multiply that by some factor for the season ticket holder who sits in a seat one night and another who sits in the SAME seat another night. This means one physical seat has two season ticket holders, thus again lessoning the chance of joe parrot head fan of getting a ticket. Basically, if the one guy gets the one night, the other guy will just take the next night or something similar. Who knows, they may be able to get tix for both nights anyway which would really s***.
:(

I doubt they would be able to get tickets to both shows. Arent there only about half of the seats season tickets? I think about 15,000 for each show will go up......of course thats just my own prediction here I know nothing.

Yeah...actually, some of those web sites had Buffett Fenway tickets and their ridiculous prices BEFORE the show was even confirmed. Does it really matter anyway? We the people get screwed by Ticketmaster for the most part ANYWAY...at least this gives us 14,100 extra seats per night to fight for ;)

Debacle In The Making

Post by bgsherris »

Since this Fenway business got started, I think I have read more than 500 messages on the subject...and so far, nothing that I have read - from the price and scarcity of tickets, to the ban on tailgating, to the pain in the a** logistics of the stadium - has changed my mind away from the fact that these dates at Fenway are a James Buffett ego trip, and that the fans are going to get shafted in more ways than any of us can imagine.

Look Dean, I'll tell you what...if more than 40% of those people who regularly post on here, and who actually WANT to go to Fenway, are able to get tickets through Ticketmaster, I'll shut my mouth on this subject.

It just ain't gonna happen.

Maybe we can get phJim to start a new forum, not just a thread, and call it "JIMMY BUFFETT'S NOT PLAYING WHERE I THINK HE SHOULD SO I'M GOING TO b**** AND MOAN ABOUT IT ENDLESSLY LIKE A SPOILED CHILD"

Give it a freakin' rest already. Take your ball and go home, the rest of us will continue to play without you. I feel like I'm back in 2nd grade when I read some of the crap about the Fenway shows.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here
