a toilet seat would be a fair description of a fenway seatRon Raney wrote:Mr b's tickets in Chicago has tickets for Fenway Park. Tickets go on sale Sat May 8th. Must be niceHow can you have them so early? Something STINKS... At this rate toilet seats will be the only seat that most phans can afford.

An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.

This makes me mad!!
1 field seat is going for $800

. . . again, what type of connection does your "friend" have.psychjava wrote:I was talking to one of my friends today who has contacts with the Red Sox, and the season ticket holders bought up their allotted number of tickets (none were available today) - looks like about only 800 tickets will be released to the general public on Saturday.![]()
Good luck everyone - I'll probably see some of you in line!!!![]()
Time to keep my phins crossed!!!
I almost want to beleive this for the followin reasons:
Season ticket holders are broken out into 2 or 3 groups.
There are the ones who have every game,
then there are the ones who have weekend packages,
and others who have weekday packages.
(or something like that)
What this means is that instead of just 35,000 seats or what ever the capacity is of the place, you have to multiply that by some factor for the season ticket holder who sits in a seat one night and another who sits in the SAME seat another night. This means one physical seat has two season ticket holders, thus again lessoning the chance of joe parrot head fan of getting a ticket. Basically, if the one guy gets the one night, the other guy will just take the next night or something similar. Who knows, they may be able to get tix for both nights anyway which would really s***.
Talking to you is like clapping with one hand.

Debacle In The Making
Since this Fenway business got started, I think I have read more than 500 messages on the subject...and so far, nothing that I have read - from the price and scarcity of tickets, to the ban on tailgating, to the pain in the a** logistics of the stadium - has changed my mind away from the fact that these dates at Fenway are a James Buffett ego trip, and that the fans are going to get shafted in more ways than any of us can imagine.

Look Dean, I'll tell you what...if more than 40% of those people who regularly post on here, and who actually WANT to go to Fenway, are able to get tickets through Ticketmaster, I'll shut my mouth on this subject.dean_siu wrote:Did you expect anything different? Maybe we can get phJim to start a new forum, not just a thread, and call it "JIMMY BUFFETT'S NOT PLAYING WHERE I THINK HE SHOULD SO I'M GOING TO b**** AND MOAN ABOUT IT ENDLESSLY LIKE A SPOILED CHILD"
Give it a freakin' rest already. Take your ball and go home, the rest of us will continue to play without you. I feel like I'm back in 2nd grade when I read some of the crap about the Fenway shows.
