I heard no monster seats and I swear at springsteen they didnt sell the bleacher seats. A reliable seating chart would be good at this point.

Here is a link to an ebay seller who has the Springsteen seating configuration. Probably will be similar.

I think the monster seats would actually be behind the stage and equipment.

First off long island is way to close to yankee country. I think you would be able to see the stage from the top of the monster though, im not sure, i would liek to know how htey are deciding who gets the good seats if they are all the same price.

I have a question for you. A few posts ago you were talking about Jimmy's ego trip. If you really think the hard work Jimmy puts into touring is an ego trip then why are you feeding his ego by going to the shows and buying his cd's?

Your question does not take into consideration that a healthy ego is positive character trait, and is necessary to function in society.

An "ego trip," is generally considered an unhealthy thing in that the individual in question is indulging his/her desires to excess and to the detriment of those around them (ie: in this case, the fans).

In playing Fenway Park, and wholly ignoring the comfort and desires of his fans, JB is clearly indulging a personal whim. Well, obviously that is all well and good so far as he's concerned. He gets to fulfill a long standing wish. But Fenway Park is FAR from an ideal place to hold a concert. I just today took a look at the concert layout of Fenway, and it is a nightmare in terms of sightlines and acoustics. And from what I hear, the seats closely approximate toilet seats in terms of comfort. Add to that the absence of traditional tailgating, and the scarcity and high price of the tickets, and you have a real treat if you are a fan. NOT!

So yes, these Fenway Park dates are an ego trip, and I will not even attempt to patronize the event. However Jones Beach is a whole 'nother story. Terrific facility with great seating and acoustics, and a fine parking lot for tailgating.

I completely understand everything you are saying about Fenway. It's the same way here in Dallas where he's playing at Texas Stadium.

Kinda funny how the Texas fans aren't complaining anywhere near as much as the GW fans are.

And I personally think Jimmy takes his fans into consideration as much as he is able to. Dosn't the man deserve to play a couple of venues for himself?? Last summer he was saying he wanted to play more stadium venues. Why can't he do something different??

I would go see him if he played at the gates of hell and the devil himself introduced him. Although, he would have to introduce him to "Hot! Hot! Hot!

Stop complaining about buffett fenway, especially if your not even planning on going, and are going in long island, the site lines are going to be fine, the sound will be fine, and fenway park is beautiful. Us area phans should be honored, you dont see buffett attempting to play in yankee stadium, not because he fears new york fans would be upset, but instead because fenway is the ultimate ballpark. You can have fun on long island when your doing the same buffett thing everyone else is, but here in boston we get something special. My guess is jimmy is going to have an unbeleivable set planned. We are going to see jimmy on possibly his best night of the year.

Um, the acoustics at Jones Beach actually s***. If you don't believe me, ask the sound company.

Add to that a capacity that's half of what his normal venues hold and a crowd that's generally less than enthusiastic....

Frankly it's BECAUSE he plays places like Jones Beach that folks should cut him some slack.
