Columbia...re-visited
I thought Thursday night went pretty well. I loved the acoustic opening and everyone else seemed to like it as well. Parking was hell of course, but it is worth it for the concert! Took my girlfriend along...she absolutely loved the show as well. Great job, Buffett!! Look forward to seeing you in Myrtle Beach for Margaritaville opening!!
Sunset Beach is my Margaritaville. Where there is endless beach, no time, and sunshine that seems to last forever. I know that Someday I Will.....Someday.

Was a great show. But why do his shows always start at 8:15pm? when they are to start at 8?
And the shark addition to FINS was pretty cool. Seemed to fly around pretty well until the crowd tried to nab it at the end there.
The "playback" screens didn't seem that clear (perhaps it was my eyes? LOL) but the ones in ATL seemed much more in focus.
Short lines for food, alcohol and even the bathrooms.

Thursdays show I thought was a blast. Jimmy seemed very engerized all night, and the crowd was right there with him. It seemed like the crowd was singing very loud most songs, it was great. Parking starting getting bad around 2. i had no problems cause i was there at 9:30, lol.
I hope to get to myrtle beach for the opening of Margaritaville..

Thursday night in Columbia was a great show! I think it was the loudest crowd I've heard inside a concert hall. There was really a roar that night!
I agree with previous posts that "Coast of Carolina" is an awesome song. And I liked the way Jimmy came out in the beginning by himself with just his acoustic guitar.
Of course, we could have done without Hank Williams' "Hey Good Lookin' " (some young USC coeds behind us responded with a "Hey, did he say that's a Hank Williams JUNIOR song?")
The best moment of the entire night was Jimmy's last encore when he shucked his guitar and sang "Changing Channels," with Mac playing behind him. Buffett really sang the song with feeling; it was a moving moment.
BTW, the wife and I cruised the parking lots before the show, both of us wearing our BuffettNews lanyards with BuffettNews ID cards but didn't see any fellow BNer's....
