yeah tryntoreason........just what is ok to talk about? On a discussion board cant you be happy or mad. We can only think happy thoughts? Yeah there have been alot of threads but this is a very HOT topic right now.

but your saying the same thing over and over again. You have 233 posts and 232 of them have been bitching about Fenway. It appears to me that some people feel like going to this show is more of an obligation than a good time. I respect those that take a stand and say "this sucks" and I'm not going (although there is no need to say 100 times). What I don't get is those that b**** about every aspect of the show and then say.. but I'm going. I think these are the same people who b**** about scalpers but when they are shutout by ticketmaster they are the first ones looking for a scalper.

This exactly sums up the way I feel about it too.


As for the original topic of this post. I have never heard the man so I can not comment on weather he is a jerk or not, however I do believe he has a right to his own opinion.

Be happy that Jimmy is playing near you. Some people who would LOVE to see Jimmy can't because he dosn't even hit their state.

You people that are complaining about Fenway are just plain ungrateful. The people in the states that he's not coming to would love to see him so maybe next year he'll remember all your griping and go to where he's more appreciated too.

Cripes people..it's the internet it is not reality. Love to see these conversations if held in person, face to face..ya know like the old days.

This thread may have been a new topic....but there have been at least 20-30 threads just whining about Fenway and doing nothing more. Most of these have been started by the same 4 or 5 individuals. If we get that much on this board...just imagine how many emails Margaritaville is getting on this topic. I'm sure his management, the people at Radio Margaritaville, and possibly even Jimmy himself are sick of it. Southern CA is losing Irvine as well (and the SD show altogether)....however, you don't see these fans acting like children as a result of it. The time has come to get over it and move on. If you don't like it, speak with your wallet and don't buy a ticket....all the repetitive posting in the world is not going to change a thing (nor will contacting Margaritaville).

Of course I don't want you to leave and never comeback, but don"t you think you got your point across the first 20 times you posted about your distaste for Fenway. It seems to me that you feel obligated to go to this show and I'm not sure why???

"No Partying???" Steve Huntington got defensive when ParrotHeads got REAL UPSET about that!! HE has to 'get over it"...NOT the FANS!!! (WE outnumber HIM by about a BAZILLION to ONE!!! )

AND...this IS the 'topic" Steve was p*** off about....too many emails about FENWAY!!!!!

Fans were upset wgen the Fenway rumor was announced - long before the city made any comment about not wanting tailgaiting.

And actually the parrotheads are the defensive ones. It sounds like Steve is just tired of hearing from adults acting like four year olds.

And personally I would hope that out of gratitude for the amount of work that PHJim puts into this site, we could do our part and minimize the amount of time he has to spend babysitting this forum.

I guess I never realized how selfish so many people are.

I never heard anyone say there was to be "no partying" here....the only thing I heard was "no tailgating". To me, a Buffett show is a party no matter what. The Vegas show is the highlight of the year for many people and there's no tailgating at it....if you decide to not have phun at these shows, its your own fault. It will be a great time for those who decide to enjoy it.
