I think you've got the WRONG fan base to talk to......

You have made a point here but you need to listen to your own advice dude.
You come on these boards assuming it is like all the other discussion boards you're a member of. You insult people and threaten the very integrity of this board. You make threats to start a bazillion threads to shut this site down. You insult several people, including myself and all in your first 16 posts.
What you fail to realize is that several of us know each other personally. We travel accross the country to visit each other and attend concerts together. When you insult one you insult many. So you need to learn the demographics of this board before you make your assumptions.

Yes, it sucks being told to act like an adult.
KeyLime:
Steve's comment has nothing WHATSOEVER to do with maturity. It has EVERYTHING to do with good manners.
Essentially Steve's comment (if true) is simply another way of telling the fans, "if you don't like it, F-off."
I don't care how you "spin" this remark, there is just no other way to interpret it.

where did you come to the conclusion that Jimmy's management screwed up? When 70,000 people invade Fenway in September...

Be happy that Jimmy is playing near you. Some people who would LOVE to see Jimmy can't because he dosn't even hit their state.
You people that are complaining about Fenway are just plain ungrateful. The people in the states that he's not coming to would love to see him so maybe next year he'll remember all your griping and go to where he's more appreciated too.
Classic, stereotypical mindset..."Jimmy, love 'em or leave 'em."

That's where you're wrong... I interpret it completely differently. He's not saying F off... he's saying it's a done deal, and if you don't like it, you don't like it. There's nothing else that can be done... move on... get over it.

nowhere in my statement did I say love him or leave him. I know people who in order to see Jimmy have to travel thousands of miles to see him and they do without complaining one bit. If they are lucky enough to have Jimmy in their area maybe once in every four years and they are grateful that he comes there.
What I am saying is appreciate what you have. You know life is short. Jimmy could easily get tired of all the complaining and b!tching and just retire. We never know what the future brings. Many a great musician's career has been cut short by a twist of fate. Not that I wish that on any musician but as fans we should appreciate the man and the music instead of complaining.

No more like
right thinking. Where does it say that Jimmy Buffett must be everything to everybody. He does what he can for as many fans as he can and if I am lucky I get to see a concert now and again. His travels to the Pacific Northwest are few and far between lately. If he played anywhere in the Northwest you can believe I am gonna be there reguardless of the venue.

It was the way he said it. Jimmy always gave the impression that hes all for his fans then Steve did a dont like it too bad kinda thing. Just not what you would expect. I bet Steve hasent even had a conversation with Jimmy on this. Maybe he just had too many emails. Its not like we can email Jimmy.
