Nash and Crosby also at work on duo album
Though David Crosby and Graham Nash's most recent recordings haven't included old bandmate Stephen Stills, the trio, now in its thirty-sixth year, will head out this summer for the 2K4 USA tour, making forty-five stops starting July 1st in Prior Lake, Minnesota.
Five years have passed since Crosby, Stills and Nash (with Neil Young) released a studio album, but the group (without Young) has been active on the road since then. And Crosby and Nash entered a Burbank, California, studio in January to record songs for their first album as a duo since Whistling Down the Wire eighteen years ago. The sessions find Russell and Nate Kunkel co-producing, and Crosby and Nash are backed by a group that includes veteran bassist Leland Sklar, guitarists Dean Parks (who has worked with Nash before) and Jeff Pever (who tours with Crosby in CPR) and Crosby's son James Ryamond on keys.
