Get some Ball(s)!!!

For the Fenway shows, what if a bunch of us were to rent a ball room in the Hilton or Sheraton?
Let's say it costs maybe $1,000 for the room and then whatever else for the staffing. I'm talking the basics, tables, chair and cash bar.
If that gets divided by about 500 or so people, it wouldn't be too bad.
I know the idea is pushing it. I'm talking about gettin 100's of people together that don't even know each other, but theoretically, it could work.
What do you think?

My guess is the local parrothead club is probably working on an option that will provide a scenario that you described....not only will it give everyone a fun party, but can raise thousands of dollars for local charities as well.

you do get in major trouble for new threads ya know. Anyhow the parrothead club of eastern mass is trying to come up with something, you would have to be a member. They have a meeting this thurs for a regular meeting and next thurs for Dicks patio opening....this thurs is at Dicks too. on your idea......You would need to sell tickets in advance to garentee you would have enough people to do it.
