Post by Ilph »

Has anyone else gthought about how cool it would be to be Batman? It may have something to do with my beer intake tonight, but I think it would be AWESOME!!! (I could even get crapppy movies made about me....)

I am going to take a shot in the dark and say it is either your beer intake and possibly a fantasy about Catwoman....................

I think that Spiderman is a far better superhero.
My whole world lies waiting behind DOOR #3! In the meantime, I am just sippin' on a margarita.........

The new Batman movie with Christian Bale is gonna rule. No more crappy Joel Schumacher movies with the smiling, laughing George Clooney Batman.

WOW!! I sound like a geek. :(

Then count me in as your geek-in-arms. Batman is supposed to be a dark, brooding, seriously-messed-up-in-the-head kinda guy. That's what makes Batman BATMAN!!! Those Joel Schumacher movies with the cornball joking, in-touch-with-his-feminine-side batmen were really bad.

My 4 year old claims he's the real Batman. Says I'm Robin, my wife is Wonderwoman and the 2 yr old is Buzz Lightyear. Sometimes he gets really serious about it too.
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving

1. I can't remember seeing Batman and Buzz Lightyear fight side by side, but I'm a little out of touch with superheroes.

2. Catwoman.... ahhh.... :D

3. Yeah, I think it was the alcohol.

No! You are no geek! You are absolutely right on! I was absolutely disgusted by how Joel Schumacher desecrated those movies!!! They were awful! My favorite director ever is Tim Burton, so of course I will always be partial to the first 2 (especially 1)... but Schumacher's 3 and 4 were absolutely awful!! I wanted to walk out of 4 and get my money back it was so bad!!! Schumacher turned it into a pecs and ass showcase! Don't get me wrong, I would like to look at close up shots of George Clooney and Val Kilmer's ass all day long... but not at the expense of one of the greatest stories/movie series ever!!! Ugh!!! I could go on and on and on and on and on.... but I won't...

The new one with Christian Bale looks good though... I'm keeping my fingers crossed! (And they're coming to Chicago to shoot scenes!!!) :D

The new one has a fantastic cast, excellent writers and the director of "Memento". I hate to get my hopes up, but I really think they "get it" this time.

And by the way, "Catwoman" with Halle Berry looks like the worst hunk of crap put to film since "Batman and Robin".

Note to the people that write these movies:

Catwoman was a cat burglar...not an actual CAT with CATPOWERS!!!!!!!!!

I'M PRETTY SURE THEY WRITE MOVIES THAT WILL SELL TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC,NOT JUST COMIC BOOK GEEKS.NO POINT IN MAKING A MOVIE IF NOBODY GOES TO SEE IT

I agree! I don't want to get my hopes up either, but I'm optimistic because of the director, screenwriter and cast!

Okay... I guess I am a little bit of a Batman geek!
