Great Woods holds 19,900...
I stand corrected... amend my post in your minds to say:
"Great Woods with its 19,900 as opposed to Jones Beach's 14,000. "
Point remains the same - Jones Beach is a significantly smaller venue.
I'm purely speculating though based on other things I've heard in past years - I can't support or deny the rumor.

Clear Channel manages the tour. I doubt JB is that involved in planning it. Patience...

It is Jimmy's fault because he could END - once and for all - the rumors floating around by making a single statement on Radio Margaritavile before a concert broadcast, or on his website, about his intentions for the Labor Day weekend dates.
Instead he has remained MUTE on the subject, and all us fans have to rely on are circulating rumors.
THAT'S how it's Jimmy's fault.
B.
so he should make it his job to continuosly correct all rumors spread on the internet?i'd be willing to be he had better things to do

Clear Channel doesn't manage the tour. HK Management and Jimmy decide the tour, Clear Channel is merely the promoter.

This was probably a money making ploy by Clear Channel the whole time...tell us JB is not playing GW, sell approximately 80,000 tickets for Fenway @ $84 each (a cool $6,720,000.00) to JB fans who will be missing the tailgate, but cannot miss a Buffett concert...then shortly afterwards, announce that, guess what??? He's coming to Great Woods after all!!! So those of you going to Fenway who want the tailgate experience, buy some more tickets!
Funny thing is I told my wife that this would happen after the Fenway shows sold out.
I'll be at Fenway tailgate or no tailgate (we have Sunday tickets, so we'll tailgate at home from 11 to 4 and then have a bus take us (16 of us) in to the show.
