Hi i was just wondering if anyone can give me any advice as to the best way to get tickets right at the outlet. I plan on going to either the kingston ma or hyannis ma filenes and i was wondering if anyone had a recommendation as to what time i should try to get in line. tickets usually go on sale at 10am so if anyone could relay any past stories that would be great and really appreciated, also what do you thinks better online or at the outlet?

My advice if going to an outlet, I have learned that to find out if they are doing a lottery (which is when they hand out numbers to everyone in line and then draw a number and that is where the line starts- I have heard they do this anywhere >5 people show up.) If so.. bring friends and spread yourselves out along the line. This increases your chances of being near whatever number is picked to go first. The only other advice I can give you is bring cash. It makes your sale go quicker and allows for other people after you have a better shot of getting in before tickets sell out. I have seen people get pretty upset with ticketbuyers in front of them using credit cards.

If you want field seats, forget the outlets. They won't have any.

If you do not care and you are not one of the first say 7 people, go home and go on line. Thats if you live close by

My advice is to never use outlets, do it online. You have the same equipment and you are first in line.

If you must go to an outlet, you can always try the often successful method of finding one in the rural areas around town. Sometimes you have to drive an hour out of town to get to one, but you end up with less competition. You may want to have the Ticketmaster Event Number handy to help them search for tickets.

If you're first in line, tell them that you want XX tickets for Event #XXXXX when they go on sale at exactly 10:00. If the seller is a good one, he/she will start entering the info at 9:58, or so, and keep hitting ENTER until the tickets pop up.

I live 2 blocks form the Ticketmaster outlet at the Cambridgeside Galleria so if I don't get a good lottery number I am sprinting home and going on-line.

Have all your credit card info registered on Ticketmaster.com ahead of time. It's the most important thing you can do if you're planning on being on-line at 10:00.

I would avoid any ticketmaster locations where you can't see the computer from the line. Many times at places like Filenes they make you wait in line far from where the computer and bring you in in small groups giving the people who work the computer time to screw around and pull tickets for themselves.

I use the galleria just because it is out of Boston so I assume less people go there. But this year I am going on the internet.

Last year was great....i got there really early because I thought maybe they wouldnt do the random number thing. So I was there and another guy was there. It turned out he was a scalper and he dragged along his 6 kids and wife to get tickets to scalp. Well they did the random number drawing and he got the last spot in line. He was standing at the door as I walked out steaming mad cuz he couldnt get any tickets and waited there for hours

I think this year I'm going to do two cellphones and the computer. I had a royally hard time getting through on the cell last weekend, though. Wouldn't ring OR ring busy....just empty silence. Finally got through on the house phone, which I won't be able to use cause I got stupid ole dialup.

everyone (indluding myself) who is going to try and get tickets tomorrow morning

Good luck and maybe I will see some of you in line.
