So you're telling me that even though I've been only posting for a few days but have been lurking for months now I don't know what I'm talking about?

Wow... How Ignorant can people be!

Ignore me if you want... but you all bash TM because they:

1) Don't have enough Tickets for EVERYBODY...
2) Charge fees (come on... If a $10 fee per ticket is too much for you... then buy the CD, don't go to the show).

I HAVE NEVER SEEN A GROUP WHO WAS SO INTENSELY NEGATIVE!

I mean.. .Let's see... it seems like everyone here just complains...Ticketmaster Sucks, Convenience Fees Sucks, Scalpering Sucks, Ebay Sucks, Boston Sucks, Fenway Sucks, No Tailgating Sucks, Not announcing Pittsburgh, Greatwoods, or Jones Beach Sucks, No Great Woods Sucks(IT's now The Tweeter Center for the Performing Arts people...), and now newbiew with less than 10 posts Sucks too!

Wow... Let's Blame Everybody We Can in Life...

When will you people see that It gets you nowhere!

Wow, you are just soooo right. I am sorry for ever crossing you. I am ignorant, I bash others, I say that everyone else is wrong but me. Hey, we have a lot in common, don't we? Nice to meet you.
Just because my views do not jibe with yours does not make me ignorant, it makes me human. It makes me an independent thinker. It makes me tolerant. That means I can take a little good humored ribbing. I can understand when people are having a little fun.
Maybe we aren't so alike after all.
And for that I am thankful.

First of all, thanks to all of you who PM'd me with your kind words...

It's just funny how sometimes when a person puts their opinions in writing it can be interpretted many different ways.

I do not mean to offend anyone. I am an opinionated person who is not generally a negative person.

HOWEVER... It seems that what I posted ruffled quite a number of feathers, so to speak.

I was merely trying to point out that from this "newbie's" point of view, too many people around here are making this board a less friendly place by making nothing but negative posts about venues, prices, ticket availability, and now bashing what others say.

I in no way meant my posts to be an "I'm right and you're wrong" thing. I just don't understand why people in general act the way they do on this board. It's quite childish, really.

I just learned at a rather young age that NO show is ever "sold out," there are ALWAYS tickets available... just not always at face value. That's kinda like death and taxes, it's always going to be there. Just like Ticketmaster's fees. What's complaining about it going to do except force their negativity onto others...?

I guess I'll just continue lurking and not contribute to the discussion...
I'm sure that you all will be a happier bunch that way.... if that's possible.

"and to think smithers, they called me an idiot when i bought ticket master, who would of thought they would of paid a 100 percent service charge"
-mr. burns
-i have no problem with ticketmaster, but it was just said on the simpsons, so figured id throw it up there

Funny, I thought you were the one bringing the negativity in. Go ahead and "lurk" if you can't take the heat that your post brings out in us. And, believe me, TM brings out the heat in the best of us.
But "at your young age" you need to learn that your words will evoke emotions in others that you, as an individual (PM's aside), will have to stand up to. You will need to listen to dissenting opinions and understand that YOUR response will determine the outcome of that discourse.
So, I am not mad at you. Tomm is not mad at you. None of us are going to take it out on you unless you respond in a reactionary way. So, liven up, crank up RadioMargaritaville.com and understand that we all live in a free society. Freedom of speech, I believe, is high on the list. Live by your own words and "please, get over it". You know what is ironic, I read that statement by so many people who need to take their own advice. Then again, maybe so do I.
Why can't we all just get along?

of course.i have always been friendly to new people here, and for the most part everyone here is also.the problem always comes in when a newbie doesnt bother to find the boundaries and learn about the people here before making exceptionally stupid comments.a good number of people here are friends, some very close and when one gets insulted the others will jump on the offender very quickly.is this right?not always but it's a fact.
that said.welcome to our screwed up world :D

psychjava wrote: What exactly do they do with the fees? Only a $1 (correct me if I'm wrong) goes toward a charitable organization, so is the remainder of the fee used to pay for the ink, paper, etc? That's inflation several times over if that's the reason.
There's this thing called "Payroll" TM employees hundreds of people in several callcenters, plus IT folks, CTI folks, management... I'm sure they get benefits (health insurance, etc), paid vacations etc.
