Here's a funny, though embarrassing story. We signed up for this project. We sent off a package a while back with a SASE so he could write us. We got a letter yesterday. Our soldier's name is Lance Robert somethingorother. Silly me, I thought Lance was his rank. Turns out Lance is NOT his rank, rather it's his first name. 
Heeheehee. I guess he got a good chuckle at my expense!

I just received the name and APO of my adopted hero. My first box may be a bit overzealous because this was payday. However, it is worth it. My hero is over there willingly risking his life for mine. God Bless them all!

Well, my hubby took the box to the post office and had to stand in a looong line. He said lots of people were sending boxes and packages to APO addresses! YAY! Our troops need our support! It's good to know there are others out there sending stuff. Now, I will attempt to be patient and wait to get a response of things he'd really like to receive.

So, the hard part of waiting has begun. I hope my "son" and his buddies enjoy the package when it arrives. There has been much interest among friends and family about him. The main question is his rank closely followed by is he single? I'm so excited about this! Got my "Support Our Troops" magnet and it is displayed proudly. Can you shed any light on either of the main questions I'm being asked?
