Where was your Cheeseburger in Paradise??

Post by Pirate Lookin' at 40 »

This is a topic I've been meaning to post for awhile.

What is the best cheeseburger you have ever had?

For me, it was in New Orleans. But it wasn't the Cheeseburger in Paradise at Margaritaville.

It was at Port of Call. The best damn thing I have ever put in my mouth!!!

The Wild Wing Cafe in Charleston SC lets you "build your own burger" by marinating in any one of their wing sauces. The Jamaicain sauce is unbelievable. Go to the one on Market St downtown, not the one in Mt Pleasant.
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

Burger King, Rockford, Illinois, 1987. Just the right amount o' mayonaise, 3 pickles, and fresh tomatos. I remember it like it was yesterday.
Today is the tomorrow you spent yesterday worrying about. Was it worth it?

Sounds delicious! Hopefully I'll get to return to Charleston someday.

My best one (so far) was at Billy Goat's in Chicago.
Other than that, the ones I grill myself at home.

My favorite for burgers, etc. is Virginia's on the Bay at Port Aransas. (This place is where Tortuga's Flats used to be...first place I ever heard the song Pirate Looks At Forty.)

Favorite Cheeseburger in Paradise was one stop in 1992 in Lahaina, Maui

I can't narrow down the exact one because I've had so many. For me, as long as they're a little pink and plenty sloppy, I'll be in Paradise. However, I just wanted to get this off my chest. I'm not real impressed with the burgers at the M-ville chains. Don't get me wrong, they're decent, but nothing to drool over. There, now I feel better. Sorry Jim.

I concur Duff. It really isn't the kind of burger to go out of your way for.

Vortex Bar and Grill in Atlanta http://www.thevortexbarandgrill.com

The other one was at a brew pub in Reno, NV. They marinated the meat in their stout beer. I do not remember the name. Maybe it was the alcohold :D

My personal Cheeseburger in Paradise would have to be at Cheeburger Cheeburger on Sanibel Island, FL. Went there on our honeymoon. Awesome burgers. If you finish the one punder they put your picture on the wall. It doesn't have it on the website but at the one in Sanibel they also have a 2 pounder and a 3 pounder. Awesome shakes too.

Stood up and tried to focus,
I hoped I wouldn't have to look far.
I knew I could use a Bloody Mary,
So I stumbled next door to the bar.

Margarita Matt, how could you possibly pass up any of the burgers at Thurman's Cafe in German Village?
