Pittsburgh Road Trip?

Thinking about a road trip to Pittsburgh. Any opinions from people who have been there? How's the tailgating? Is it as tough to get tickets for there as it is in Virginia and New Jersey? I don't want to have to resort to scalpers.
Thanks!

Been going for 7 or so years there, Pittsburg is great. Tailgatng is awesome. But, tickets sell out fast, so you might want to forget about them so I can get 'em

Tailgating at Starlake is an awesome experience.
Tickets will sell out in about 10 minutes, like last year and the year before and the year before.....however, I always see people selling at the venue.

Being a Pittsburgh native, I think we put on great show (Biased? Me? Of course not!

)
But what everyone else has said is pretty much true. Tickets do sell out quick (last year they were gone at about the 12 minute mark), but I think we have a great tailgate scene. They always open the gates pretty early, and I'm continually amazed at the stuff people bring.
If you can swing it, come on down. I'll be the guy in the grass skirt and coconut bra (Why does that joke never stop being funny?).

Thanks for the info. Sounds like it's a much better experience than some of the Ohio venues and right up there with VA and GW. Sorry Ohioans, but Cincy was the most disappointing of my 16 Buffett concerts (a-hole rent-a-cops).
Looks like Pitt might be the place, thanks!
