Second, the moderators carry out and enforce phjim's policies. No more and no less. If they tell you they're going to delete something, they've almost certainly already checked with phjim to be sure that's what HE wants...
We are guests, just as much as if we were physically guests in phjim's home. If we're rude, or unruly, or we break phjim's rules, we can expect to be asked to leave, just as we would be invited to leave his house if we acted inappropriately.
BRAVO AND THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think SGH phrased it very well...but just to add to it.....until you start funding the operation of this board, either do one of two things.....
1) Accept the way it is operated and respect those who run it
2) Leave
There is no middle ground and 99.9% of the people who come here realize it....why the other .1% can't seem to get it, I'll never seem to understand.

For the record...
I'm one of the people who agree with Jahfin.
This board is getting ugly...Jahfin's posts are a lot more interesting that so many others. Here is an idea....Let's not allow any thread that has nothing to do with Buffett. No social area, no jokes, etc. Maybe it shouldn't be O.K. to have the various topics about meaningless things, this way the site would be able to conserve bandwidth. Move all other topics over to the other discussion boards (like KLC or DW).

and for the record....
AGAIN!
nobody ever asked jah to leave,or to stop posting threads.a suggestion was simply made that he put them in a manner that was less of a pain in the ass for other people, especially those who dont care to read them.for me until recently jah was just one of those people in the background that posted alot of threads that i skipped over, again no big deal.his OVER reaction to the suggestions is what got people going against him.so i'm not really sure what it is you are arguing for him about, nodody has done anything to him that he didnt bring on himself.

IT'S NOT STUCK THAT WAY BUT FORDS COMPUTERS ONLY RECOGNIZE CAPS,SO I JUST GET USED TO TYPING IN ALL CAPS ALL DAY.SO IT DOESNT LOOK STRANGE TO ME,PLUS I'M TOO LAZY TO HIT THE LOCK KEY

When tomm types in lowercase it reminds me of Silence of the Lambs. You know, how low-key Hannibal talks. Tomm, I mean no offense, just that smooth lowercase as opposed to the CAPS. Maybe the avatar adds a little to the mystique also.

Wait, we're wasting bandwidth not talking about wasting bandwidth. I think we have reached the event horizon...

I have a question; I'll freely admit that my knowledge of computers is minimal; but if Jahfin wants to post information about music and does not like the moderators's rules or the general tone of BN, is it possible for him to start his own site?
I get the idea that some expense is involved and I'm sure that some expertise is needed, but how feasible is this idea?
I believe that Cartmill has a music site and may occasionally refer us there. My perception when I read Jahfin posts is that I am being lectured to and I am not interested in taking a music appreciation class. I am just here to have a little fun, drink a little beer and listen to Jimmy.

Good Point Carmen - I personally took Music Appreciation 101 and passed in college
Incidently I'm still waiting for Jahfin to pm me those addresses for the "other" music sites. I actually thought I might receive those last night as he was lurking on the boards for over an hour.......

Got to get my liver in shape (or more accurately out of shape) for next weekend in Columbus. Concert and my birthday.
