I gotta be honest, after reading your intial post I was in a position that I had some extra tickets because I and two of my friends all scored, and I contacted someone else on this website about selling them tickets at FACE value with the only extra being a beer in the parking lot. You have to be a little less emotional and watch what you say in that kind of situation.
This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about. Thanks for sharing that PirateJeff!

Like LIPH said, it's not about s*ucking up. I and other people believe in helping out other Parrottheads who maybe weren't so lucky. For the first time in about 12 years I get to go to 2 shows the other being Fenway. Most people try and get their tickets through ticketmaster and sometimes you get shut out. Bitching doesn't help. I just believe in helping out others who were not as fortunate, I wasn't looking for the best sob story.
Some times I feel like a propeller, spin, spin outtta control. I don't who is up on the throttle, boy I wish they would let it go....

Friends on the Ticket Line

Post by Beachbum#3 »

I got four in the Ocrhestra - 15th row. Parrothead fans allowed me to buy tickets first becuase I was the first one on line early this morning! Had I gone by the stupid lottery system (the store manager handed out numbers I would have been number 34 and probably would have gotten shut out! A big thanks goes out my fellow Parrotheads who recognized the effort and let me be number on on line

this is really great to see, there was another person who posted about people doing this, i really think its wonderful that people would do that for you, i know i have gotten boned by the lottery system when buying tickets for other shows and nothing like this has ever happened, it shows that most people that are parrotheads are genuinely good people

Dude, as my dad would say, you are a real piece of work. Is this a thinly veiled dig at some of the people on this board?
There are people asking face value in the ticket exchange area right now. If you need 8, I would start looking 2 at a time and sit on the lawn together. "Most people that are parrotheads" are tired of your "I can't win" mantra. You never would have gotten 8 together anyway because there was a 6 ticket limit. So start interacting with the genuinely good people and get some tickets, for crying out loud.

There's no lawn at Jones Beach, it's all reserved seating.

Oops, I just figured that since it looked like an amphitheater that there would be lawn. Mea culpa. My ignorance showed.

Oh, well, then Ashaway IS screwed after all. I wonder what his posts would be like if his friend was able to get 6 tickets, but he was number 7 or 8 of the group?

I, too, got shut out for Fenway and never had a shot at Jones Beach because of a meeting. But the people on this board aren't to blame for that, so why take it out on them?
