NEW YORK — Tony Randall, the comic actor best known for playing fastidious Felix Unger on "The Odd Couple," has died. He was 84.
Randall died in his sleep Monday night at NYU Medical Center, according to his publicity firm, Springer Associates.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Harlan Randall, who made him a father for the first time at age 77, and their two children, 7-year-old Julia Laurette and 5-year-old Jefferson Salvini.

Awwww... I loved that guy. He was clever and funny, and had such "pinache."
My love is staying an anchor tied to you with that silver chain.

Sail on Felix. Might have to watch Letterman tonight to see how he pays tribute.
Is it day?

I thought about watching Letterman tonight too. And poor jack Klugman-the two of them were such good friends. Always loved Tony Randall and his rather unique sense of humor. He will be missed!

In silence here, I bow my head
And whisper soft a prayer
Calling for the power of grace
To bless your children's care...
Sail off into the twilight,
On rolling waves and tides
Love, your final cargo
With mystic memory guides...
Standing on the other shore
In front of you to view
The One that loves you more than all
Magic moments and laughter new...
~phwtb~
Gone, but never forgotten... Sail on Felix...
it's my own damn fault...

Letterman did indeed do a nice tribute to Tony Randall last night in case anyone forgot to tune in. Bob Dylan's "Forever Young" played as clips from when Dave's show aired on NBC were shown.
