Spending Time in a Cube...
Does anyone else spend so much time of their lives in a f*#@ing cube?!! I swear that if I do this for the rest of my life, I will either develop atrophy or will just loose my legs through rapid evolution and my arms will shrink to resemble T-rex arms that just sit on a keyboard. Looking back to my 20's, I was in such good shape...

I worked in cube hell for 12 years ~ left it 5 years ago for rough cedar walls, antiques, 2 large operating windows, and a door! The grass was greener, literally and metaphorically!

Question is, what's more important, you or them?kurt wrote:Does anyone else spend so much time of their lives in a f*#@ing cube?!! After 25 years of working free, Oct 27 will be two years locked in a cube. I have two windows (nanaboo-boo) The walls in front of me are covered in pics of my Keets and their "artwork". The wall behind me has a framed Teall's guide to the Florida Keys, Key West to Marathon. On that wall are printed pics of Jimmy and my BN buddies (the freakin' office nazi made me take down T's hula-honey pic) I get up every couple of minutes and walk a lap around thge office or two. It has been the hardest thing I have ever had to adjust to, since marriage.
btw, nobody else has a thing in their cubes. Some of these people have been here 20 years, I don't get it. If I gotta be here, its gotta be mine

I have an office with a door that locks (came in very handy last month on "Take Your Little Brats To Work" day) and a window. The window even opens since Rockefeller Center was built before the age of the hermitically sealed office building. And I have an autographed 8X10 picture of me and Heather on the shelf just above my computer monitor to take my mind off work when it gets really busy.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I'm a cube girl. I sit in the absolute corner of the building. No window. Fortunately, there's really no one close by to bust me for playing on BN. Considering they just laid of 700 people in IT (I work for Qwest) I have no idea if my co-workers still sit next to me. My boss did call me to say that I still had a job but my department is definitely a little bit lighter.
