Or your flux capacitor everytime you need to go back to 1955 for gasoline.
hehehe...I got a ticket for doing 88 mph the other night...first thing that came to mind was that I was "trying to activate my flux capacitor, officer!"...hehehe
I actually had class with a guy whose dad tried to build a time machine that would go back in time when it hit eighty eight miles per hour. But he didn't get the idea when he fell off of a toilet. He did a lot of drugs and wasn't quite right anymore.

I work for a car dealership on Saturdays and I had to take a few new cars down and fill them with gas today. Each one took at least $35 dollars. The kicker was, the lady behind the counter was complaining about gas prices to me! I don't think the guy in line behind me saw the irony in that. He started yelling at her.

Actually it would be closer to $1.50. And, instead b*tching about gas prices, people would be b*tching about the lack of maintenance of our roads.

Here is a great site.
www.gasbuddy.com The main page has links to states and then to cities where people post gas prices so you can find the cheapest in your area.
If you drive a FFV (flexible fuel vehicle) or want some info on E85 (85% ethanol & 15% gasoline) you can go here
www.e85fuel.com. E85 is a higher octane fuel. You lose some efficiency, but, in theory, you are also consuming less oil. It is similar in price to regular, but it is a much cleaner burning fuel.
We had better get busy worldwide in developing alternative fuels. Any thoughts out there to the idea of Peak Oil, the point at which world oil production ceases to increase? Those who support the idea believe we will reach this point in the next 20 years. Obviously, some argue that it is a myth. I certainly don't know enough to state whether either is true, but it is an interesting and conceivable concept.

it's a nice theory but it is not practical.same thing with biodiesel.
i saw some interesting news, the majority of our oil we produce in Alaska goes to other countries, mainly Japan.yet we BUY most of our oil from the saudis,i'm i the only one who doesnt see where that makes any sense?

we should start using our own oil, close the borders and be totally self sufficient.

What I don't understand is why people keep saying we need to buy more fuel efficent cars. I already own a 2002 that's pretty good on gas. But it's not like everybody can just go buy a new car because of higher gas prices.
Let's see new car = $300-400 per month
gas increase = $20-60 per month
HMMMMMM

I guess you've never driven anywhere near NYC.

The Cross Bronx Expressway is the worst road I've ever driven on, nothing else comes close.

The re-treads just keep things interesting. As for the deer, we don't swerve to miss them...free meat.

You drive a HUMMER. Why do you dodge anything?
