It is the year I graduated (or was asked to leave) Illinois State University

Its the year I became a saloon manager

Its the year I fell in love for life (unfortunately she didn't quite see things that way)

Its the year I bought my first car, a $50 Datsun 510 Station wagon

Its the year I went to Daytona for a week on $100

It's the year the Joes Bar N' Grill Amazing Softball Aces won the Normal (Il) Merchants League, one of the best softball leagues around (at least back then)

Its the first year I saw Jimmy (I think)

1979 was the year I graduated from Jr. College.

I got married in 79

Moved to Dallas in 79

come to think of it 79 wasn't as good a year as 78
