Have you ever seen someone go crazy on pot. Anyways its a rock concert it always going to happen indoors and out so quit your bitchin. Ill be at nissan and yes ill will be smokin it up. If you dont like it stay home and listen to your fn cds. If anything pot should be legal before alcohol. Just like ben harper says if you dont like my fire THEN DONT COME AROUND.
So what would your reaction be if someone near you politely asked you to put it out?

I've tried pot, but never inhaled!!!

I can count on 1 hand the times I've done it, but they were all a blast!
As I near 40, I foresee myself a la Kevin Spacey in American Beauty. Sure, it didn't end well for him, but that movie made me think I need to start smoking pot and working out!
I always smell it at concerts, and all I do is smile. Last year in Chicago, a guy in front of me "sparked" one. (Is that what you call it?

) I don't recall exactly what I said to him in my drunken state, but he gave it to me! If ya got it, smoke it!!!! Jimmy was singing Volcano, and it has had new special smile-on-my-face meaning ever since!

Im currently in college and I am part of the party scene so I come across people smoking. I am not huge of a fan of people doing it b/c of smoking in general it kills your lungs.. *Im a track athlete* But I usually never have any problem with friends or other people smoking right beside me. But on the other hand i know how people can get when they are getting high, and sometimes it is very very veryyyyyyyyyy anoying. I know that you guys probably were not the annoying kind so I don't see any point in saying that it ruined their concert.
Just an addition I have a friend who I recently met who is a big fan of buffett but once I was asking her about her parking lot experiences she said that she doesn't tale gate.. I understand that some people don't like getting drunk or high or what ever you want to do. But not to do anything I think takes away so much from the concert. Just my views. Couldn't think of what it would be like without the parking lot...

people can get annoying on anything they have done be it smoking pot or drinking quite a bit. It amounts to the maturity of the person doing the smoking/drinking.
The people who said that it ruined their concert obviously have other issues they need to deal with

they obviously had something stuck up their butt.
who knows what issues?? Could be marriage, finance, jobs or the fact their momma didn't breast feed them long enought as an infant.

I'm curious as to why the box set Boats, Beaches, Bars and Ballads and the greatest hits collection Songs You Know By Heart are exempt. I realize that most people are tired of the songs that comprise the latter album and that the box set makes a good starting point for newer fans (or perhaps even older fans still replacing their vinyl that don't want to plunk down the cash for the CDs all at once) but why does ownership of either of these two collections make someone any less of a fan? Everyone was a new fan at one point and they have to start somewhere.

I havent smoked much since I left college, but this post reminds me a a cocnert story. I was at a WHO concert at madison square garden when my friend sparked on, the guy next to me told me he didnt want that around his daughter who was with him at the concert, so we stopped. If someone politely asks I am not gonna be a jerk about stopping, but I feel its not really a big deal and I dont think it should ruin someones concert. I plan on sparking a couple at jones beach which is outdoors so hopefully no one will have a problem with it.

Someone pointed out all the votes on here. Also, note there have been over 2000 views.
Bottom line is that most people here seem to do it or be tolerant and mostly those that do try to be respectful of those that don't want it around.
And hey we all know who smoked the whole lid and wound up where he'd begun. However, after reading this thread there might be a few followers that have done the same thing

After this one is over, I'm going to call my thread a different name: 'Not to Smoke (Pot) or to Smoke...'

I don't do it personally but don't have a problem with others doing it as long as they aren't hurting anyone.
