I also recall Jimmy saying something at more than one concert about how "good it is to see people bringing their kids" to the shows. So, apparently, the host gave approval, my kids are welcome at his party. And no, the one time I brought my son - we did not hang out in the parking lot before or after. I'm not an idiot, but I don't expect people to spark joints next to him INSIDE THE VENUE, either.Melli_Fera wrote:I agree that the atmosphere is not keet friendly, but unless the show is labeled 18+ or 21+, it is an all-ages event.winoUknow wrote:Isn't this a Buffett show we're talking about here. I agree. I know what to expect when I take him to a show. Exactly the reason he's not going with me to Ozzfest. Not a "friendly" crowd. I just really do not like being told that pot smoking is preferred over kids.ph4ever wrote:MojosMama wrote:Of course it's going to cause a stir, jackass. There's no reason to call people names. Yes you do have the right to take you kids to public places but knowing you I also assume that you go with the full realization of what people do at concerts. My son started going to concerts with me when he was 4. It's all how you, as the parent, handle it. Parents shouldn't expect people at concerts to not do what they do because they took their kids.

If I was the herb smoking type, I couldn't imagine lighting up sitting next to a kid, no matter where I was... but I would probably be a little pi$$ed that I was stuck sitting next to him for that reason, but hey, I'd go somewhere to take a hit, and come back and make the kid laugh, I suppose...
And what became of sweet Melissa.... ???

Why should it be expected? Parrotheads are just like any other group in that you can't generalize without offending some or most of them. None of the things that make us parrotheads apply to all of us, I know people who call themselves parrotheads that don't even like Buffett.winoUknow wrote:Isn't this a Buffett show we're talking about here. hell if you lit one up next to my keet he'd ask you if his mom could have a hit. Keet likes it when mom has a buzz (be it alcohol or pot) - he gets more out of me then.Melli_Fera wrote:MojosMama wrote:I also recall Jimmy saying something at more than one concert about how "good it is to see people bringing their kids" to the shows. If he's cute, please leave him at home until he's old enough for the drunk chicks to legally molest him.ph4ever wrote:Melli_Fera wrote:Well, I'd use more discretion with a keet who looks like a keet, and might make the mistake (???) of asking a 17/18 year old "keet" if he wanted some! since he was 4 he's always liked older women. Besides he feels it's his duty to watch over me all the time and especially at concerts

Thanks!!! He's really a great kid. Some of the BN'ers have met him and say the same thing.Melli_Fera wrote:Well, ph, seems like you're doing a fine job. Then there are those of us that are Buffett fans that also aren't necessarily parrotheads..Coconuts wrote:Why should it be expected?
