I had all the "machines" in the house turned off, getting ready for bed,...when all of a sudden, in the den, the VCR turned itself on (I had NO recordings set). I turned on the tv to see what the heck was recording, and there was Jimmy on CMT saying he always tried to combine fun and work.....I had NOT even put the tv on CMT for weeks! Then they said something about going to CMT.com and voting for your favorite stuff....a SIGN, I thought. People, go to CMT.com and vote for Alan and Jimmy's "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" for best song and best single. How weird is this stuff? Is my VCR machine a parrothead?

Dude, Jimmy speaks to you with your VCR.
You need to be on Jerry Springer or something.

That is so funny!
My cd player is a PH too.....when my hubby is around there has to be other music than Buffet in the changer, he'll let me put one in. We put it on random and I swear it finds Buffett at least every other, song! This is out of five cds!

I just wish that would happen to me when 5 O'clock somewhere comes on. But I swear. I'll get bored and turn on CMT and all of a sudden, it will start playing! I mean... this is FREAKY!!
To bad it's not Friday... then we would be in the movie Freaky Friday!

Citcat...the VCR knows it belongs to you. That's all. (making since out of it??? prolly not. It's an omen.)
Very cool thing to have happen though. We were out at dinner with the keets one night. Came in, they took off in different directions. As I put my purse down and let the dogs out, my hubby turned on the TV. The channel was the CMA's. Just in time to see Bubba come out. It was the opening of the awards with Alan and Jimmy. If I had been 30 seconds later, I'd missed the best part. It's the Tiki Gods..they look out for us.

Hmmmm.....makes you wonder, huh? But enough of that "omen" stuff!

That was a scary movie!

Here's another: we just upgraded our Dish network to the whole schlameel, I was running the channels not 10 seconds after the upload, and stopped when I saw "Tropical" on a music channel and guess what song was on? Yep a JB song, and guess what song was next? A Club Trini song. So now my tv and dish machine are Parrotheads, also!

Was your universal remote stuck between the couch cushions? Or under a pet (my cat rolls over on the remote and changes channels on occasion)?

I would never have that problem, I don't get CMT on my cable system.

Nope, my remote was on my computer desk, away from cats, dogs, me, and falling stuff. If it does it again, I'll know I have a Parrothead ghost and I'll leave cookies and milk out for him (her). No wait, that's Santa Claus.

What should I leave out?

Ok, then that kills my theory. When we moved, we thought we lost the remote finder. As it turns out, the springs in the couch hit the exact same frequency as the remote finder and set it off.
