CMT in Columbus

Don't know if anyone picked up on this, but I saw a CMT trailer pull into the Schottenstein lot around 5 or so Saturday afternoon. Don't know what footage they shot but that may be something to keep an eye out for.

Kinda along that same line (well, distantly, but...)

Before Jimmy sang 5:00 Somewhere, I thought he was talking about a special guest and then Alan Jackson's picture came up on the big screen and I thought for sure AJ was going to join JB on stage...let's just say the people around me probably thought my bad habits of the 70's had come back to haunt me!

Obviously Alan Jackson wasn't there, but for a few seconds I thought so!!

We saw the CMT trailer, they had problems finding a place to park and went around the parking lot couple times. There were 2 fellas in the cab, one was sporting a cowboy hat...go figure.

By the time we walked back past them they were standing on the sidewalk like they were waiting for somethin or someone. We said hello but did not think to ask what was up.....duh must have been the booze.

Possibly footage for the ACM Awards Wednesday night? And on that note, if 5 O'clock wins, do they go to a live feed in Hotlanta to say hi to Jimmy??? If so, I hope the crowd roars big and loud!!!!

CMT isn't airing the awards, live away, thats being done by CBS. They are doing a pre-awards show on the "Orange" carpet (its sponsored by Home Depot). Alan was in Nashville on Saturday night in concert with Martina McBride. As for a cut away to Atlanta who knows but it should be interesting to the watch the awards and listen to RM for the concert feed at the same time.
