MOTM is the annual parrot head convention in Key West, and an absolute blast! The only requirement is that you be a member of a sanctioned parrot head club. Most of us spend the entire week there, and it's non-stop drinking partying, and music. And Key West is definitely the place for all three. Jimmy has shown up twice; in 1998 and 2002, but you can never count on that. But it's well worth the trip; if you've never been to Key West, it seems barely part of the U.S. at times.

We will be there this year!!! And Des too!!!
Where in FLA are you moving to??? I've been all over the state. Lots of vacations on lots of coasts. Moving to TN was hard but I can visit. Actually, I'm headed there Thursday!

If you go to the MOTM, you need to sign up. There are limited (3,000)spaces, and the're half way gone and going fast. BUT you don't have to join, but you will miss out on a lot. I went last year without signing up and had a blast, (had to sneak into a lot of places for members). This year we are going back as members :D . Hope to see you there

MOTM is a blast! You will have so much fun. Last year was my first year and I spent the week on the beach and hanging around the town. I can't wait until this year's MOTM! I really liked staying at the Casa. I booked my room a couple of months ago and they were getting filled up.

It's a great place to hang out with your fellow parrotheads. It will take me about 14 hours to fly there, but it's worth it.

There a lots of mini concerts in the bars around town. There is the Friday concert on Duval st. also. Those are free and open to the public.

However There are concerts at the Casa that require MOTM passes. Last year, I wasn't a member of anything, and I managed to sneak in to the BIG private saturday night concert.

So come on down and join the PHun

You can always join the Virtual Parrothead Club. I'm not a member. I'm just a member of the New Mexico, Missoula, Las Vegas, Phoenix and Orange County clubs and I live in Helena Montana which doesn't even have a club.

don't have to live close to join either. Our new club has members in Florida and we are in Tennessee. You can be active, support the club and not live there. Visits help though.
