Okay, PLEASE don't tell me that that is Shrimpboat Sound because right behind that building is where my gf and I left from on our Sebago Adventure thingy when we were in key west and I had no idea that that was the studio!!! :-? :-? :-?

So.... Is it?

Whew! That picture took a long time to download, for some reason. Yes, that is the studio. I walked all around it in February, no signs whatsoever. The door was open and there was a desk/counter thing against the left wall, and pictures and stuff tacked all over the wall. I was curious, but scared to go over the threshold and see what the pictures were of. Now I'm kicking myself. :-?

I was there in april and i walked by there and the door was wide open and there was a guy with long hair and a jimmy buffett shirt on fixing something on the outside. I peeked inside and there were lots of awesome pictures on the walls i was hoping jimmy was in there

Wow. At the "Meeting of the Minds" last year I was sitting in the exact same spot that picture was taken from and wondering what that building was. Since there isn't any signage, I think I assumed it was some kind of maintenance building for the marina.

This is in one of the most high traffic sections of Key West and people walk by all day long with out knowing of the "greatness that surrounds them"! We took the Tales of Margaritaville tour in December and the studio was pointed out by our guide. He asked that we keep at a distance and limit photos because there had been complaints about people trying to get in, etc. There is a little dive of a restaurant about a 1/2 block away. This is where Jimmy eats when recording. I forget the name of the place at the moment.

Me and my gf visited a friend who lived there for the winter and he pointed this out to us, he lived right on duval st which was great. There was a bar right there that we went to, i think it was the schooner wharf? Anyone know if that sounds right?

Could not tell you how many time I have passed that building on my trips to Key West and never new what it was until some one posted it a couple of months ago. I have not had a chance to get back since then so I can stalk everyone coming out of the building. :D
