Trying to clean up MCA's mess...

Well, it seems that CD reissues are nowhere in sight, so I decided I would get a little crafty and pretend they did happen, and that I am the art director for the reissue campain.
What would I do?
Well, the first thing I did was a CD label for Last Mango. I based it on other CD labels I have seen in my own collection. It looked a lot better before I saved it as a jpeg and uploaded it, but I think everyone will see where I'm going with this. Keep in mind seperating that logo from the back cover scan was quite a tidious procress, as I did it in paint.
Tell me what you think!

Good job Senor Creative...just print it out and slap it over the old disc and just pretend it's a new one

Well, I guess the first one wasen't that good. Actually, the pic quallity was just bad, so I removed it.
I created another image that shows what the back of the OPH CD case might look like had MCA done a full job on it. I based it very tightly on the back of the record jacket:

I will be doing more like this, using the scans on Buffett World as source material.
One thing I find to be a pain when doing this is trying to match up the fonts. While I got the color right (sky blue) I don't belive the track listing's font is correct.

Sure it doesn't make any sense if you forgot to put the space in between "Man" and "Go"
Last Man Go Paris
Sure it's broken english, but it's sorta like,
last one out turn off the lights!
Nice work all around!
Thanks for picking up the pieces where the greedy slobs left off.

I finished the the back cover to 3/4 Time:
Only thing is it lost some quality being uploaded to Photobucket. It looked so much better on my screen...

And why does it appear about 10 times the size as it does on Photobucket? It was the same size as the OPH back cover last time I checked. I sized both at 3 1.2 inches tall and 96 ppi resoultion, what gives?
[UPDATE:] Fixed it!

Computer screens display everything at 72 pixels per inch.
So if yours are saved at 96ppi and they're 3.5 inches tall, then the image has a total height of 336 pixels (96 x 3.5).
Since computers display everything at 72ppi, your 336 pixel high image will appear on the screen as 4.666 inches. (336 divided by 72).

There appears to be some spelling errors in that track listing.
Well, I think I should not rush these album art simulations and check everything from now on.
I will change many things on the existing two, as OPH dosen't credit the producer on the back and 3/4 has some spelling errors.

Two more. The first one is for AWSCAPC. Remember the vinyl had no picture on the back, just text, so I found a cool pic of Jimmy which appears to be from that time era to use. I believe someone said that this pic was used for the Mobile Fedelity Labs Gold release, so I thought it made since to use it here. The later is for A1A.
Doing that back cover for A1A has made me even more excited about my first trip Key West, which comes at the end of the month! Does anyone know at what point on A1A that pic was taken at? Does that sign still exist?

I think they have changed the signage appearance. I don't remember seeing an S-A1A, but I wasn't driving, and figured all we had to do was stay on the road and KW would eventually appear in the windshield.
