Which city can claim to be the city of champions during the ESPN era?
We added up all the wins and losses across the four major pro sports from the past 25 seasons and ranked the 36 North American cities with at least two franchises based upon overall winning percentage.
No. 1? San Francisco can claim the best win-loss record thanks to the 49ers and Giants, but does have only two teams. New York has the most championships with 12 -- but also has the most teams. Of cities with at least three teams, Boston comes out at No. 1, with a combined winning percentage of .544 (plus five championships).

funny how new york is credited with having football teams, yet they play across the parking lot from new jersey's hockey team.... seems to me there's a bit of inconsistancy in the methodology..
