I owned a '72 Pinto (not this one) -- it rocked like a small boat in big waves.

[quote="Coconuts"]Ok, I recognize the Element, but what's the first one? The new body style of the Aztec?

That first one is called a sicon xb, toyota makes them and they are selling like hot cakes where I live. The performance "fast and the furious" kids are buying them because they aren't that expensive and decking them out. There are 3 in my parking lot at work and they look uglier in person than they do in that picture.

My mistake in reading this thread and seeing those pictures.....now I'm sick to my stomach and my head hurts. :( However, my feet smell real good. Best looking new car: the Dodge Magnum. Now I feel better! :)

My Mom and sisters hate the PT cruiser.
I know the old Aztec is major ugly but I drove one
and they drive very nice almost as nice as they are ugly.
My new team Leader just flew to Denver and drove home
in a new Element so to each his own,

True, but the older real off-road Gelaendewagens were awesome:

Well I like the PT, the Cooper, Beetle, and such... but those three are the cars where you either like them or you dont and I could see why people would think both ways. finZZup!

I've liked the Scion Xb since the Bb came out in Japan. :-? But then again, I have a thing for itty bitty cars. Witness my nick.

The Element looks like the car that Gilligan drove. Interesting, but not interesting enough for me to own one.

Current - the Honda Eliment

Does anybody remember THIS

http://www.classilink.com/10003.html

And PH4Ever you nailed it on some bad cars of the 70's

And the best example of the worst anybody has been done by the automobile companies is here

Many things he used/invented are on our cars today!

Coconuts wrote:And I agree on Hummers. I rear ended one once- I pushed the headlights on my mom's car back 12 inches and put a nasty scratch in the Hummer. And there's no good reason anyone in America needs a Hummer (the SAV, not the fun kind!)- if they wanted you driving there, they would've made a road!
Ah, don't hate the well-built vehicles because they're tougher than your 4-wheeled beer can. The wreck was YOUR fault, the damage was done to YOUR car - but the other guys is a jerk for driving a solid vehicle??? If you hit a telephone pole, would you b*tch that it wasn't made out of styrofoam?

The funny part is they were designed with the 20-somethings in mind, but every time I see one it's being driven by someone 40ish or older. Personally, I find the style intriguing but they don't have enough power for me. My 2 teenage daughters hate them. Great marketing, huh?

there is a BMW ragtop that is just plain funny looknig can't find a
pic they have changed the body style every time I got
near one I started singing " Oh I wish I were a Oscar Meyer weiner"
that is what they remind me of.

Now remember this from the guy that coined the phrase
There is no such thing as an ugly convertable.

I even liked the Things!!!!

Oh please. BMW has very nice style on all their vehicles (save maybe the M Coupe from a few years ago). Granted, it may not be your cup of tea, but calling them ugly? I can only assume you're talking about the Z3/4 line:

Just wait until PORT jumps on...

BTW - did i mention I am a proud BMW convertible owner?

I absolutely LOVE the Z4! My better half and I took one out for a spin... the sales person had the nerve to ask if we wanted to test drive the 2.5 or the 3.0!!!

What a stupid question... :o
