I'd like to ask him "what the *(&% is with ticketmaster" and why can't there be a better system.... I did run into him one night in October in Key West at Louies Back Yard and I didn't have the guts to even say anything more than excuse me as I walked past him on the way to the p***

Most folks would have frozen. At least you didn't run into him in the bathroom and try striking up a conversation over the urinal divider...

I ditto that...I could plan exactly what I wanted to ask and when/if the time ever came, I'd probably do something really stupid like step on his foot, spill something on him, run into a waitress with a tray full of food or drinks, etc. But I'll keep hoping for the opportunity! :D

Hey Jimmy,
It's your long lost daughter!
I finally met up with you again.

I always imagine that I would freeze, just like the others said. But if I could talk, I would try to ask him to pose for a photo. I would ask if he would sign my shirt too. (Oh gosh, that's two questions...see! I couldn't do it!)

Knowing the way Jimmy talks, there would probably be a few other words mixed in! :D

I think that I would ask about his family life. I know, I know, some things should be respected. But, I'm curious, just as I would be about other famous people.

Ceol na Mara wrote:Jimmy said he didn't start playing guitar until college. His first album came out in 1970. I always wanted to ask him, "When did you start writing songs? Music? Lyrics? Before you started writing songs, did you write poetry? Have any of those poems made it into your songs? For the poems that haven't, would you please publish them?"

Actually, These are very good questions and I would be curious to know the answers too.

Mr. Buffett would you consider a reply?

How do you see yourself 10 years from now?
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend
