I'm not even a huge Nirvana fan but I think you have a sick mind if you think suicide (Cobain's or anyone elses) is a good thing.
unless you have access to my PM mailbox i wouldnt be so quick to make statements like that.the difference is i just dont get all freaked out about it like you.
and yes,i do think more people should commit suicide, there are an awful lot of bad people on this planet that dont need to be here.and i dont have a problem saying that in public
I don't need access to your PM mailbox to see how rude and downright tasteless some of your posts have been (the one I'm responding to in particular, obviously you have never had the suicide of a loved one affect you). As for "freaking out", I have done nothing of the sort. Wanna see some "freaking out?" Go check the latest Chesney thread in the Jimmy Buffett Discussion area of the message board and see the bias I speak of. I don't know how many people have come on here referring to Chesney as a "wanna be" or out and out saying he "sucks" but let me offer an honest opinion about one person's concert going experience that resorts to no bad mouthing whatsoever and you would think I had committed some atrocious act.

I still don't how you define "freaking out". And if in fact you made that statement in order to get a reaction not just out of me, but anyone for that matter, that is commonly referring to as "trolling".

trolling would be more along the lines of just looking for a general reaction.i could have bet large sums of money that you would be the one to take offense to it.not that i could have gotten anyone to take that bet,we all know how you react to things.

You must of misunderstood what I was saying. I don't take offense to those comments but others understandably do because they usually are not backed with any sort of reasoning as to why they dislike Chesney so much. I'm referring to how a post I made on one person's Chesney concert experience (that resorted to none of those sorts of put downs) which was nothing other than my own honest opinion resulted in me being singled out and chastized.

do you think that it might quite possibly be the fact that numerous times in that thread you said I didn't mean to offend but if I did so what?? You have yet to realize that everyone that had something to say wasn't saying a thing about what you said but rather the manner you used. And you have the nerve to call me narrow minded??

Actually Jah from what I've seen in the last few weeks I would have to say (in my own opinion of course) you seem to enjoy pulling peoples chains so as to cause them to single you out.

This is a perfect example of why Tom gets away with some of the comments he makes. Those of us that know him on a more personal level know that he really is a nice guy with a big heart. (Sorry Tom!! Not trying to ruin your "reputation!") He just likes to joke around a lot and you really can't take him too seriously.

Now you're pulling things out of thin air because I never said anything like that at all.
ph4ever wrote: You have yet to realize that everyone that had something to say wasn't saying a thing about what you said but rather the manner you used. And you have the nerve to call me narrow minded??
I call you "narrow minded" because if anyone was to go by what you say in your posts about me (which there are no shortage of, by the way) they would get the mistaken impression that I'm only here to stir up trouble and that I never have anything positive to contribute to the messageboard when nothing could be farther from the truth. As as my manner, I wasn't rude in the least. I was just saying what I thought about RhumChum's Chesney concert experience. I didn't say I thought Chesney sucked, that he was a wannabe or any of the usual insults that are directed at him. There's a big difference between that and me offering my opinion. Again, I see tommcat making downright rude and tasteless remarks (some of which can be read in this very thread) on a regular basis that are apparently ok because never have I seen him subjected to the same sort of scrutiny you and others subject me to.

I'm trying to think of someone around here with a broader mind...

I would say your opinion is severely off the mark and you also seem to have a selective memory as quite a few of the other posters around here do. I don't think you have ever (nor will you ever) see me make light of someone committing suicide.

So, if I you know someone on here on a personal level it excuses them from being held up to the same standards I am held up to? I don't know him on a personal level but I've seen him make posts (particularly in this thread) that I find inexcusably careless and show a lack of regard for those that may have suffered through the loss of a loved one due to suicide.
