Sail on Ronald Reagan

Today, former President Ronald Reagan passed away at age 93. For at least ten years he and his family have survived, rather than lived their lives due to his condition of Alzheimer's. No matter our politics, it is fitting to salute the actor, the President, the man, who we all had some sort of feelings.

Now is also the time to send Phin Power to his wife Nancy, who has steadfastly demonstrated the qualities all wives/spouses should share in their vows, "til death do us part!"

Sail on Mr. Reagan :(

Regardless of your politics, it's sad. And regardless of your opinion of Nancy Reagan, she has shown us the meaning of true love and devotion these last ten years.

I know that I have already posted a hearty sail on, but I just need to ramble for a bit. President Reagan was the first president I have true memories about. He did great things including ending the Cold War. My family up until the Reagan Era was democrat. As the parties flip-flopped, my family became republican. So many of my childhood and teenage political views revolved around things Pres. Reagan had done or implimented. The only other major figures of note would be the royal family with Charles and Di getting married, having kids, affairs, and getting divorced. I'm just a wee bit discombobulated about this. Must be the growing older thing. . .

I'd like to remind everyone that when President Reagan wrote the letter informing us all of his condition ten years ago, that he asked us to support his wife and family. Please send your phin power to Mrs. Reagan and the family.

To Mrs. Reagan and the family - I know you will find comfort in the fact that your husband, father and friend is now at peace.

Alzheimers is a sad, frustrating, heartless disease. :( My grandmother had it, and my aunt now suffers from it. Let's hope someday they find a cure. :(

Sail on Mr. President. You were a decent man. And a proud American.

Thoughts and prayers are definitely with Nancy and family. It isn't easy watching a loved one suffer from any disease, but one that steals the memory is horrible. Nancy is an admirable woman standing steadfast by her husband through it all.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Heck of an honor guard piping him aboard through the pearly gates, I'm sure.

Sail on, sir.

And my prayers go out to Mrs. Reagan, and to RWR's children.

Sail on Ronnie

I owe so much to President Reagan, my views, my dedication to this great nation and that sometimes you need to fight for what you believe in. He was truly a great man with an amazing humor and regardless of your political views President Ronald Reagan is a man to be respected.
