Hey! Something I never thought about---Nashville in November. What do you think is the cutoff date for the latest day he could possibly announce a show around then, and still have it work, ticket-wise and planning-wise? I know there's always hope!
NASHVILLE!!!

If he announced it one day ahead of time, there would be a stampede for tickets and he'd sell the place out. Really!

November, hmmmm. . .Starwood will be down for the season. The Titans will have the Coliseum. The Predators, provided the NHL doesn't strike, will have the GEK. My backyard in West Meade is available. We have a swing, a hammock, a grill, tiki torches can be found at Wal-Mart along with plenty of beer. Jimmy come to NASHVILLE!!!!!!

Hmmmmmmmm............ a thought struck me today. It hurt a little, but I'm ok.
So obviously the summer date at Starwood, or whatever they call it nowadays, isn't going to happen. So... the only other real venue for him to play in town would be the Gaylord Entertainment Center. Home of the Nashville Predators.
NHL just announced their season schedule Friday... so maybe Jimmy had to wait to see when the indoor venue would be available.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but maybe we'll hear something soon.

Wonder if the album review in the Tennessean will affect our chances of getting a Nashville concert date.......hmmmmm
Thats it!!! THAT'S IT!!!
Jimmy NEEDS to get on stage and prove to the Nashville audience that Peter Cooper's review is WRONG!
Nashville! Nashville! NASHville! NASHville! NASHVILLE! NASHVILLE! Com on NaShViLlE!

What did Mr. Cooper's review say?

I thought the review was well written and pretty complimentary for the most part. Maybe I always look at the positive.
I don't understand 2 1/2 star rating, but then he is not a parrothead.
Good luck on getting a show.
Do yourself a favor and go by Tower Records for Todd Snider's cd release show in the store in Nashville on the 20th. (tomorrow)
You just may love East Nashville Skyline...co-produced by Will Kimbrough. Will should be in the store too!!!
Don't mean to downplay the Nashville Show REQUESTS!!!! I'm hoping for a show nearer home too.

OHmygosh...I know someone who's daughter works at the Gaylord company, pretty high-up! Hmmmmm.....so if our fantasies work out,....

sadly, they are still just fantasies. In another two months, I may just give up the ship.

Nah, I didn't really type that.

The Gaylord organization owns about one third of Nashville!!!

I looked it up....Jimmy got nominated for 'musical event' with his collaboration on "Hey Good Lookin'" and for 'video' with his Alan Jackson collaboration on "It's 5 o'clock Somewhere". So two years in a row, Jimmy got awards thanks to his NASHVILLE connections.
NASHVILLE NASHVILLE NASHVILLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
