I
LOVED those! Not being young (or even young
ish),
nor British, I hadn't even heard a lot of those.
Why, oh why did Freddie have to die???
Nevermind, I know why... but I wish Queen was still recording anyway.
A shame we couldn't put together a list of our
"favorite Fingers moments" with clips like that.

This was fun!
#6 was my very first album . . .

On #36 (Paul Simon's 'You Can Call Me Al') there's also a really cool conga solo played by none other than current Coral Reefer band member Ralph MacDonald....
I can't believe they didn't include the acoustic chord progression in Boston's "Long Time."

....or the beginning of "Wipe Out" by The Surfaris.
How many guys played that on their desk at school?

Pretty cool. Somebody really put some thought into that. I would have two additions:
#1: The intro of Guns N' Roses "Welcome to the Jungle." Between Slash's guitar and Axl's "oh my god" lead-in, you know you're about to get kicked in the head . . . and like it.
#2: The instrumental at the end of the original version of Eric Clapton's Layla. That combination of the piano and Clapton's soaring guitar part is hard to beat. Anyone who's ever seen GoodFellas knows what I'm talking about.
On another note, whenever Don't Fear the Reaper (#32 on the list) comes on, am I the only one who instinctively thinks "I gotta have more cowbell!"

Speaking of cowbell....the beginning of "Honky Tonk Women"..or the start of "Mississippi Queen" by Mountain...
