You can't beat "Rainbows". My favorite pair are going on 7 years. "Reefs" aren't bad but the "Rainbows" are best. I've got a bunch of others but they're just OK in comparison. As always, G.M., Jr.
These Rainbows look pretty nice. It almost looks like Abercrombie copied the rainbows. Maybe I'll have to give them a try for my next pair. I still love my new Tommy Bahama's. You can never have to many pairs of flip flops.

TEVAS!!! :D
YES!! I have 2 pair of the Teva "Mush" (flip flops) that I go back and forth with. I haven't tried Rainbows or Reefs but I do know that the Teva mush has done nothing but made my footsies feel really good! I too despise wearing shoes and only do so while working (where I have to wear boots with vibram soles) or hiking. Otherwise it's flip flops or nothing...and for the record, that goes for the winter too! (ok well mostly) :D

I like sandles better then FF. I can't stand the thong between my toes. And I like the feeling that the sandle isn't going to fall off at any second.

I don't mind the thong between the toes, not crazy about it but it doesn't bother me that much. But I am with the rest of Side's post. For me, FFs are the most unnatural way of walking, trying to keep from walking out of these things, trying to keep them from falling off. They make me walk flat-footed. I can run with sandals, and they are still open and airy.

I used to use my FFs only on the beach. I was so happy when they came out with all these stretchy in-the-water things (I have no idea what they are called) that I can wear from my hotel room, crossing the sand and even in the water if I want (don't often want to in the water). Now I just wear my FFs at a hotel after I shower. (I don't like to walk barefoot on icky hotel carpets.)

My FF's are about 100 years old. I am surprised to see all the models that people here are posting that have arches. I may try them to see if they feel better than my ancient ones. As a Parrot Head, I wish I liked flip flops, and I wish I liked going barefoot. :-?

What do you guys think of those flip flops with the big-toe loop?

These are the type of things I like for the beach. Apparently they are called water shoes. Who knew?!

I wouldn't think of buying anything but Rainbow's. My current pair has lasted my 3+ years and the pair before that 4 years.

I think I actually have 1 pair of flip flops. It did take getting used to the toe-thingy. Hubby won't wear flops at all. Generall we're both more of the

BIRKENSTOCK

types. We wear them while we hug trees, eat granola, and sing Kumbaya.

You get them in this little "sweat shop" in KW - you can watch them being made - 100% leather for less than $10. I have prolly 6 or 7 pairs :D I HATE shoes........if there isn't snow on the ground I'm either barefoot or have on flips :D

I live in flip flops and plan to be buried wearing a pair. Have lots and lots including purple!! Reef and Tevas are great, very similar with equal comfort. There is a company called Eliza B. that makes to most gorgeous flip flops for women. They are made by Leatherman and are dressier (and pricier) than the average flip flop but still casual enough for cut-offs. They have an incredible array of fabrics and ribbon and usually have stuff like sand dollars or starfish or tropical fish and stuff like that on them. I have had some of them for many, many years and they still look great.

i am a shoe-a-holic. my husband calls me emelda. i love sandals and ff. however, ff wins it for me. so easy to put on and take off.i can't even guess how many pairs i have. i really like the original reef riders which sold their business a few years back. leatherman took up the style but they aren't exactly the same. i tend towards any kind that have a boat deck friendly sole. i also have quite a few pairs of dressier ones from yellow box. they make great summer sandals etc etc. the eliza b designer mentioned earlier has nice styles also. i love ff so much my husband purchased me a ff bracelet from sanibel island. i'm a beachy kinda gal. that's what it's all about..beaches & boats, and buffett ..of course!
my husband purchased 2 pairs of those tb sandals. previously he hated ff because the thing between the toes, but i converted him and now he's a lover of ff also.
i want to know more about those ff from walmart that light up????

off to the beach it's really warm today 8)

You won't be disappointed. Rainbows are the best thing to come out of San Clemente. I can't beleive how popular they are now.

I have some....
There are a bunch of people cashing in on them on eBay
http://auctions.searchmarketing.com/lig ... 9-1-s.html

The ones with the flat straps only flash (the straps) when your foot hits.
Image

The ones with tubular straps do a wild flashy show when your foot hits. They
are more comfortable to me because the "T" position can be adjusted to suit
your foot. I guess that makes them "totally tubular", huh?

Price in the store (Wal-Mart exculsive) is less than $8/pair. Thus I own three
pair (they come in 3 colors) and have mailed them to friends as cheap gifts too.

And if you have a couple of minutes and can tolerate some really stupid humor,
this is kind of on subject http://upchucky.net/~upchucky/flash-fun/thongs.swf

They also have some that have vertical stripes around the edges in 4 colors, and cloth backed straps. The lights are little squares that chase, that pair is my favorite.

Love them! Easy on and easy off! Doesn't matter if they get wet, muddy or spilt on . . . Nice soft cush when one walks a lot like me . . .

But I like the old fashioned cheap-o's . . . I don't cry when they blow out! I don't cry when I loose them either . . .
