A friend came in to my office Monday and said, Hey!! Did you know Jimmy Buffett has food?!!!
Duh..
I thought it was good stuff!!!
Sitting by the pool, under the tiki lights, with some cold boat drinks... pretending I am in Key West eatting some Duval St shrimp...
Anyone else had it (shrimp) yet?

I have had all of the shrimp except for the Coconut Shrimp and they are all pretty good. I prefer the jerk shrimp.

I've tried them all, and they're pretty good (remembering that fresh is far, far better than frozen). I really like the tequila lime shrimp.

Decent for frozen seafood, but no comparison to the real stuff.

We finally got some in at the local Sam's Club.
Have only tried the lime so far. It's spicy, limey.
Son said it tasted kind of like Thai food. (I wouldn't
know.

) Still have the jerk in the freezer...
The jerk SHRIMP! not my son!!!!

Went to a nice party a couple months ago.. had some slick shrimp on skewers with pineapple etc ... but it was a TON of work, a heck of a mess, and hard to keep em on the grill right.
Seems like these are a nice easy alternative...!
Especially if you have to clean up the mess....

As I said in the poll, I prefer fresh shrimp but I'm also not opposed to trying out Buffett's brand, I've just never seen it stocked around here.

I also have never seen the shrimp in the stores but outside the Columbia, S.C., Center before the LTC show this year was a Margaritaville Shrimp van set up where they were offering the shrimp free to all comers. They were cooking/warming them up, and if the store variety is similar, they were very good -- large and quite tasty.

The local Sams by us only carries the Jerk and Lime. I perfer the Jerk over the Lime, but they are both good.

As EVERYONE has said, Fresh is always better. That being said these are pretty tasty, although you can do better with a little work in the kitchen yourself. (but that time is better spent DRINKING!)

I've tried them all, and they're all good. I especially like the Coconut shrimp. Outside Lakewood in Atlanta before the Buffett show, a big Margaritaville Shrimp bus was parked, and they were cooking tons of it, and everyone was trying it. It's also available at Costco. Definitely worth a try.

You are too funny, Des!
I've only tried the lime, too. For a nice, quick, simple supper, I saute a whole bunch of these shrimp and keeping adding some bottled spaghetti sauce until it is the right flavor, color and consistency, and pour it over spaghetti. Ten minutes from start to eating. The downside: probably not enough time to have a drink before dinner!
(I use something like Coppola's marinara sauce; I don't like sugar in my spaghetti sauce

and this one doesn't have any.)

I tried the coconut ones. They weren't all that bad, but I thought the dipping sauce was horrific. In any event, the product is not something that will be stocked in my freezer.
