I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good John Hiatt album to start with. I am starting to think that I like his style and sound. Thanks for the help.

If you just want to sample some of his stuff, he has a Best of package called Y'all Caught? or something like that. I also like Bring The Family, Slow Turning and Stolen Moments.

I've got "Best of john Hiatt 1973-1998". Good overview of his career as a songwriter and artist. You find yourself saying "He wrote that?"

I just got "Beanth this gruff exterior" and love it. I ordered one of the greatest hits just the other day!

Crossing Muddy Waters is one of my recent favorites but it's hard to go wrong with most any of his albums.

Thanks everyone for your help. I just decided to buy the two disk anthology. It pretty much combines the best of all the albums mentioned above minus Tiki Bar and Gruff Exterior. Once again thanks
