Hope everything having a very Phruitful Monday thus far. I am looking to have the bridal party in my wedding dance to In My Life by the Beatles, but of course I want the Jimmy version. Anyone know the different times he has sung it and where a copy could be had? thx

I have the entire East Hampton show from 10/13/01 on my computer and Jimmy sings In My Life as the final encoure. Can't remember where I downloaded it from (perhaps someone else will know), but it is a quite good version. The quality of the track isn't state of the art (it's a bootleg), so you might want to take that into consideration.

As much as I love Jimmy's music, I don't think anyone should mess with The Beatles. That's sacred and hallowed ground as far as I'm concerned.

I'd stick with The Beatles.

Plus, I don't think the quality of the Buffett version would be up to par with the other songs your wedding DJ will play. (Yes, I have the East Hampton version referred to above, but it still has a LOT of digital noise and artifacts).

Just my opinion.

Depends on if yourself and your spouse find some greater meaning in one version or the other. For example, if you are both Pheads, JB's version may be special

When are you getting married? Speaking of the song "In My Life," has anyone heard the Johnny Cash version he put on his final album? It gives the song a whoe new meaning.
