Today Show appearences by Jimmy

I was wondering if anybody could give me the dates that Jimmy was on the Today Show. I was wanting to contact NBC so I could get them all on video.

I know that he was on the Today Show on 5/28/99, 7/11/03, and sometime in July of 2001 (can't tell you the exact date of the 2001 appearance). He may have been on there more times than that, but those three are the only three I am aware of.

However, LIPH is our resident expert on Jimmy's Today Show appearances. He'll probably reply to this thread in the morning, and he will be able to tell you for sure.

The '99 and '03 dates are right and I want to say 7/27/01 but I may be wrong on that one. When Katie Couric was interviewing Jimmy between songs he said he was on the Today Show 8 or 9 times but the other appearances must have been before they started the Friday morning concert series. I've been working in 30 Rock since July, 1996 and the Friday concert series started that year. Jimmy wasn't on in '96, '97 or '98.

I believe the 2001 concert was on 7/20/01. I remember this because it was the day after my firm's annual Zoo party, which is seems to be held every year on the third Thursday of July.

Right, that was when they were doing the "Where in the world is Matt Lauer" promotion. Maybe February during sweeps?

I can get you the exact date for this as I still have it on Tivo. I protest every time my husband suggests we erase it to make room for new shows. As if they could be as good as seeing Jimmy in the beautiful BVI!!

I think 7/20/01 is right. I worked late the night before JB was on the Today Show and I just went back and checked my old time records. I billed more than 10 hours 7/19.
