What time is it that Jimmy is usually on during the Today Show?

Seems like it was the 8:30 segment.

He usally shows up a few times during the show...so don't change that channel Any guesses as to what everyone thinks he will play?

Hey Good Lookin'???? Maybe Cheeseburger???? (I'm not requesting Cheeseburger, just thinking he might play it )

Most of the musical guests do either 3 or 4 songs. The first 2 or 3 are performed live during the 8:30 half hour. The last song is taped and shown in the last 10-15 minutes of the show.

I hope (no offense) Katie doesn't get all jabbermouthed with Jimmy...she asks him a question and then talks incessantly instead of buttoning up her lips and letting Jimmy answer!!! She acts like she's his new "best" friend!!!

Katie's a fan...I imagine we would all get loony at the chance to talk to Jimmy too. They always seem request him to play from Songs you Know by Heart, which I guess is not too surprising since they would like him to play what the Today show audience would be familiar with and would like to hear....

It's always fun to watch no matter what he plays...

But Katie Couric interviews famous people all the time. You would think by now she wouldn't get all flustered like a giggly little school girl. I hope she doesn't talk him into doing Margaritaville again like she did 3 years ago.

I'm hoping he will play 5:00 Somewhere and change the words to "It's only half past 8, but I don't care..."

Also hoping he's NOT going to play Cheeseburger b/c he did that last year.

Also for the question as to when he plays, the bulk of the concert is from 8:30 - 9, and there's usually one last song they air at about 9:45 (although he plays it immediately following the other 3). They do have quips of him throughout the 3 hours, but I don't think it's necessary to stay glued to the TV for the whole time.

I agree. I was at that show, How frustrating for Jimmy to have come out at 5am and rehearse the 3 songs he was going to play and then have Katie change his setlist so she can hear Margaritaville. She better not do it again this year.

-Fins
-Great Filling Station Hold Up (silly wild a$$ guess of the bunch)

Great Filling Station would be great. So would Back to the Islands and Fins. I also hope for I Love the Now.

Last year he was on the Today Show a couple of months after Meet Me In Margaritaville came out and he did Everybody's Talking so it's a pretty safe bet that he'll do at least one of the songs from License To Chill. It would be nice if he did ONLY songs from LTC but that's not happening.

Thanks for the responses. For those talking about the 2001 show when Katie changed his mind, I remember that. While I was a little upset with Katie because I would have liked to have heard something else, I must say that I don't think anyone would make Jimmy do something that he didn't want to do. Otherwise, he'd be playing Great Woods this year!
