I was just wondering, who has all been lucky enough to see JB perform at one of his restaurants or at a small local bar. I saw him at Margaritaville Orlando about four years ago. He didn't sing, but he was up on stage talking to the crowd.

First JB show ever for me was at Cafe Brasil in New Orleans in 1991- whoooo! Awesome time, but body to body to body in there.
Also saw him at a small club in Aspen a few years after that. Obviously it's a much different show than the whole concert brouhaha - hope you are all lucky enough to experience it!

We were lucky enough to see him in Feb. of 2003 at M'ville Orlando. It was awesome, there was only one person between me and the stage, and I was right under Jimmy. I could read Levi's on the red tab! He did 3 songs, took a break, then came back and did 3 more. And it was cool to see Club Trini from that vantage point as well.

One of my brothers saw him perform at The Pier in Raleigh back in the 70s. I never saw him play any bars but did catch a number of shows on college campuses before the whole Parrothead thing kicked in.

I was at that same show and must have been right behind Coconuts. It was awesome!!! :D Also saw him in the Margaritaville in Vegas this January and it was way less crowded so we were right near the front. Awesome! Love that close up small concert feel!!

I was right next to the woman in the wheelchair. LIPH was right behind me, I think. After the first set I traded places with a shorter friend so she could see.

Somebody's shorter than you?

I made the mistake of going outside to get some air when the band took a break. It was so crowded they wouldn't let me back in.

I don't know if you consider this small, but it was pretty intimate...I saw Jimmy at Jerry Jeff's BDB in Austin at the Paramount.

Great show...best ever!

The halloween show in 2002 at the KW Margaritaville was incredible... Jimmy intoxicated and just having a hell of a good time.

It really wasn't a bar per se but I got to see him at the House of Blues in Chicago and was lucky enough to be standing about 4 people from the stage. The only problem was that he started playing about 1 ½ to 2 hours late and holding in the margaritas got to be a little hard.
