I respect your opinion, just like I respect everyone's opinion on Buffettnews. You are absolutely correct, no one has the right to tell you that you cannot voice your opinion. Let me just ask you one question, is this arguement really worth anything at the end of the day? We are all fans of Jimmy Buffett and I guarantee that he would not approve of this silly debate. I am asking each and everyone of you who participated in the debate to just apologize and let the post die. I am sure that the moderators at Buffettnews are getting tired of deleting Kenny Chesney posts.

Jahfin has seen it. What I wonder is why I continue to be singled out for my opinion of Chesney when I've seen many others express opinons that were far more derogatory than anything I've ever had to say about him. Beore the usual suspects start saying "it's not your opinion, it's the manner in which you state your opinion", let it be known that the last time this was a point of contention, the person in question wrote me to say they weren't offended in the least by what I had to say about their Chesney concert experience but another poster took it upon themselves to continue to harass me for it.

If you like Chesney, fine, his music is just not my cup o' chowder. As others have mentioned, I suggest checking out some sound samples online to see if his music is something you enjoy and come to your own conclusions.

I saw your thread but I'm not going to sit here silently while my name continues to get dragged through the mud when I never said anything to upset anybody. Not all of us like Kenny Chesney, I just happen to be one of those people.

Your idea of a "nice discussion" just happens to be one where nothing even remotely negative can be said about Kenny Chesney without you getting your back up. If you want to attack somebody by all means go after the ones that have never listened to a Chesney song yet call him a "Buffett wannabe" or those that said he "sucks" but PLEASE lay off of me for stating how I feel about him.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree. I have not done anything wrong. Someone mentioned my name and I'm not going to just sit on my hands and ignore their comments. If you want to go after somebody go after the people that outright condemn Chesney without even bothering to listen to his music and can't seem to state their opinion without resorting to derogatory language. A person asked a question, I answered. Last time I checked the forum rules, there was nothing I saw that said I also don't have a right to state mine.

Ok already, you made your point... So please stop bringing this up now!

I'm not sure that Prozac is strong enough; I'll see if I can get one of our docs to script some thing more potent.

Why do people get so angry when someone doesn't care for Kenny Chesney? It's not like he's a real artists of any substance or anything? It's almost like debating the musical merits of Justin Timberlake. I just don't get it?

It's not that people get worked up when someone doesn't care for Kenny Chesney, so much as there has been (for some reason) a lot of conversation in general about him around here lately. Good, bad, or indifferent, I think it's safe to say that the topic of Kenny Chesney has been "done to death."

So Auntie basically you're saying that people that like KC can't discuss him?? What about baseball, NSACAR and other sports?? It's discussed quite often. If you ban discussion of any artist other than Buffett then all artists and any other topic should be considered off limits. KC is currently touring and people would like to be able to discuss their concert experiences just as they would any other artist or sports event without being harassed by people who we already know don't care for that particular discussion

I will speak for my self, I don't care who does not like Kenny. Have your own opinions and express them. What I dislike is the strident tone of SOME of the people who do not like KC. A lot of the negative comments seem to be personal attacks rather than musical criticism.

I applaud the change in tone of many of the non-fans of KC, but a few seem to want to hang in and continue the challenges.

Why does anyone care who thinks what? If one takes someones opinion about KC that seriously It's sad. These are just opinions. Who cares? Get a life, a hobby, or a significant other. This is just a message board. In the bigger picture it really doesn't matter. I'm going to go enjoy my family this afternoon and not think about anything on this board.
