ph4ever wrote:So Auntie basically you're saying that people that like KC can't discuss him?? What about baseball, NSACAR and other sports?? It's discussed quite often. If you ban discussion of any artist other than Buffett then all artists and any other topic should be considered off limits. KC is currently touring and people would like to be able to discuss their concert experiences just as they would any other artist or sports event without being harassed by people who we already know don't care for that particular discussion
just my 2 cents
I'm sorry if I gave that impression. Of course I'm not saying KC can't be talked about. It's just been my impression that he gets a LOT of talk, and about every week or so a new Kenny Chesney thread appears. I gave up ages ago trying to direct everyone into just one KC thread.
As for harassers/harassees (did I just make up new words?): Harassers: You don't HAVE to speak what's on your mind. Thank you for being as tactful as possible when you do, though. Harassees: You don't HAVE to take their bait. The fish that doesn't take the bait lives to be a bigger fish.
All this wisdom, and I didn't even sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night!
My love is staying an anchor tied to you with that silver chain.
The original question posed was: "Has anybody ever listened to any of Kenny Chesney's music?? Is it any good?"
So anyone should feel free to answer that question as they see fit as long as it doesn't resort to mudslinging or simply badmouthing the performer just to get a rise out of somebody. If someone wants to express their honest opinion about Chesney (or any other artist for that matter) they should be able do so without fear of being reprimanded. We all know this we not be the last time his name is mentioned here and every response doesn't have to tip-toe around that the fact that not all of us are fans of his.

Well said Jahfin!
Everyone has opinions. Not everyone's opinions are the same. Sooner or later, any two people are going to disagree on something. The key is to challenge the other person's opinions without attacking the person. If we can all live by this simple rule, I really believe we can make it a better place.
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend
