Good find - Thanks for sharing!
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

The costumes are actually a little low key - but I'm sure that even in New York, full on concert gear would be a little over the top.
Notice (in Jolly Mon) that himself's shoes are abandoned near Mac. As if there is an invisible guitar player (is that Fingers in those shoes?)

I`m surprised Steve from RM didn't come in and block "Coast of Carolina" and replace it with a clip from previous years.

Did you notice when he sang "That was the way that my parents perceived me, Those were the plans that they had" he looked up, as if to them in heaven?

I was a total no-show. I was working late (at home, but on business stuff) and around 11 o'clock I just couldn't keep my eyes open, I lay down and that was the end of going to NYC or setting the vcr to tape it. I woke up about ten to nine, and caught "We Are the People" and "Cheeseburger". It looked so lively, and I was so sorry I didn't go.
I thought I saw NYCPH, but I could have been mistaken - I was still half asleep!

I hope that all the greedy bastards in the world
Come back as lobsters.
You know that life at the bottom of the food chain
Suits them well.
I think that all of the evil people of the world
Come back as horseflies,
They want one last bite before they're sent to hell.
