Well I have to say the biggest thing I as a mother noticed was the "hula dancer" when they were showing the parrot heads who were there at 5 pm the night before. Actually I was trying to see the phans sitting down when they singles in on a hula dancer. I didn't notice it at first til my son yelled out "THATS MATT" my other son.
That made the early wake up call well worth it.
Though as a past dance instructor I think he needs to work on his moves.
See you in Camden soon

I was actually thinking the exact same thing... idk, it seems like Nadirah always does the cool stuff, but Tina is just as good! I was happy to see all the Reefers doing what they do best... having fun.conched wrote:Another thing.... I love it when Tina sings out on We Are The People...

I work in Rockefeller Center so I'm used to the crowds at the Friday concerts but I couldn't believe the size of the crowd for JB's show. I taped it and watched it Saturday, when they panned the crowd across the street the area in front of 30 Rock was packed solid and it looked like it might have gone all the way to the other side of 50th St. I've never seen that many people in Rockefeller Plaza except the day they light the Christmas tree.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

One of the things I noticed was that between the sound check and the actual show. (based on the pictures posted) Nadirah grew hair! She's so pretty even when she shaves her head.... The wig was really cute however and she looks so much younger with it. But the nose ring made me cringe......
Everyone on the Today show really looked to be having a great time. Earlier in the week when they were talking about the upcoming Jimmy show, the mentioned that his concert and crowd were the ones they looked forward to the most.

So, that WAS Al Rocher!
I told Ladyparrothead that I was pretty sure he was in there and that he stuck his hat over the camera. She missed him. I'll have to point it out to her when she gets home from work tonight...if the vid is still available.
Sure wish I could find a way to save it!
Thanks for confirming that!

Wow, and I haven't even heard that you wanted to get a cattle prod for crowd control for the next one!LIPH wrote:I work in Rockefeller Center so I'm used to the crowds at the Friday concerts but I couldn't believe the size of the crowd for JB's show. My ship she has a rudder, but I don’t know where to steer
Funny that is the same thing we say about New Yorkers out here. Except they are lost without the crowds, and intimidated by the MountainsLIPH wrote:A Buffett crowd isn't like your usual NYC tourist crowd. I don't remember seeing anyone standing on the corner staring up at the tall buildings like Gomer - "gollllleeeee!"
Thanks for the clarification but either way somebody said it. I was just wondering if they were referring to Down to Earth. Of course it's sold many more copies since then but I doubt very seriously that it moved very many when it was first released.LIPH wrote:Matt Lauer said that, not Buffett. It was when he was standing on the platform in the middle of the crowd with Katie Couric and Al Roker when they came out in their Hawaiian shirts before Buffett did Hey Good Lookin'.
