A Couple of Today Show Observations

There were two things I noticed during The Today Show that I haven't seen mentioned yet by anyone here.

First, did anyone notice the lady in the studio (I don't know her name) during We Are The People? While JB was singing We Are The People, they showed the inside of the studio, and she had her back completely to the camera watching the screen dancing back and forth. It was so funny because I don't think she had a clue that she was on! :D It was pretty refreshing to see because odds are she probably had never heard We Are The People because that's a song that the majority of people don't know. Yet, she was totally wrapped up in the song!

And, the other thing, Jimmy trying to get the baby to do the Fins was classic! They're never too young to learn! :D

"We Are the People" is right up there with "Far Side of the World" on my list of songs.

And yes, start them early, the world needs more fruitcakes. :D

That was Natlie Morales, my hubby's girlfriend (yeah right he wishes) she is usually on MSNBC, but for some reason was on Today show yesterday.....I know she had a baby not too long ago (not my hubby's  ) so maybe she has changed shows because of that????

I thought that was Ann Curry? Anyway, it was so cool to see her grooving inside the studio! I loved that!

Ann was on vacation, which was good since her replacement Natalie dressed for the occassion and seemed to get it.

Natalie Morales used to work here in Hartford, although we worked at competing stations, I met her once at the Hartford Marathon, she and her husband train and run marathons together.

She couldn't handle the pressure of Katie hogging all the interns trying to memorize the lyrics to more than the chorus of CIP?

It was funny when he told Katie that he was "not going to sign that child!"
I was actually afraid he'd accidentally poke the baby with the Sharpie he was holding.
(Now that would make for an interesting lawsuit...)

What about the guitar that Jimmy signed?
It looked like it had been signed by others.

I don't always pay close attention, but they have gotten all the guest for the summer concert series to sign the guitar. Then they will auction off the guitar and donate the money to a charity.

I can't recall what the charity is. Last year they had everyone from the green room sign and book and auctioned it. They folks who bought it, donated the money to a charity and then sold it again on ebay or something and donated that money.

Today Show Concert Series has been very good this summer.

Thanks Conched!
I knew about the book, but not about the guitar!
I'm sure they will make lots of $$$!

I also noticed Al Rocher singing along to Jolly Mon and rockin out on the street. He was cute in his straw hat!
