Thank you. I actually got both of them at the "Meeting of the Mindless?" Phlocking's Silent Auction last year. Bid on one, did not see the other one (it had been moved), and when I found out I had won both for a really silly low price, I just handed them the actual price of the CDs. It was for charity after all and I felt kinda bad about getting another one without even trying.PA PAR8 HED wrote:Good call on the Thongs CDs.RinglingRingling wrote:Could always add the "Thongs in the Key of Life" setPA PAR8 HED wrote:If you have the Margaritaville Late Night Cafe - Key West, bring that. Bring Live by the Bay, either VHS or burn the audio to CD, that is great for a ride down. Any of the Reefers' solo stuff and some Jim Morris - start with Laid Back and Key Wasted.
But leave a little room to buy some CDs down there to bring back. There is some great music in the Keys. My favorite is Michael McCloud at Schooner's Warf.
Have fun!
When you get there, go to the Hog's Breath and see if they still have the Key West Guitar and Garden Club CD. It is awesome!

Oh, and one album I would not recommend is the Tribute to Jimmy Buffett done by a bunch of half-a$$ed garage bands made up of what sound like 15-year-olds in their first week of Stage Band.

Key West CDs
I just got back from there...
Even got some beach time in...
I took home made CDs of JB fav's and a dash of ZZ Top, Sunny Jim.
Ran into 3 college girls at the airport gate headed for the KW... I gave em my best CD blend and told em they HAD to listen to it on the 3 hr drive down from Miam to KW...
I hope it got em in the mood!
I would take Banana Wind, FSOTW, Barometer Soup, and maybe boxed set, which I just got for Father's Day. Hard to chose.
Wished I had taken more with me when I was driving 3 hrs from MIA to KW. But it was great. Rolled down the windows, enjoyed the heat, and sea breezes.
Watching all the boats, big n small, on the way out to sea made me wish I could just stay....
