JB "older stuff" on the radio

Ok, I seached the archives, but could not find an old discussion to update about JB on the radio, so I had to start a new one.

Has anyone else noticed the increasing amount of airtime JB is getting now? I don't know if it is a coincidence or not, but lately I have been hearing a lot more of him, and not just the new stuff. For instance last week on 4 different days I heard the following songs on the radio: Margaritaville, Come Monday, One Particular Harbor, Captain and the kid, and I have found me a home. Now CM and Margaritaville are understandable and I hear them often, but the others were a pleasant surprise. They have been on country and soft rock channels.

Just wanted to know if anyone else has had the opportunity to hear more of JB on the radio. It is a happy surprise when it happens.

I don't listen to the radio enough to notice but it is pretty commonplace for an artist to start receiving more airplay from their back catalog prior to a new album coming out.

I think Come Monday is a soft rock staple. Since the Camden show was just last night, we may have had the usual pre-show bump on the rock stations, but that is the typical SYKBH stuff.

There have been a few times when I have heard Buffett on in-house music at a food store, department store, etc. And some of those are real rarities.

It always sounds good.

I heard FSOTW once on the indie station, but I don't ever listen to the radio anymore.

Our local station regularly plays a set that includes

Southern Cross
Brown Eyed Girl
Uncle Johns Band
Sunny Afternoon
and Cheeseburger

I even heard CIL followed by Finz this week.

There is a closet parrotthead in programing...
