what a loser I respect what he did and even after he was shot
and all but not the time or place.
Can't say that I heard that...maybe I went to go get some food or sumthin' what did he say?
BTW sorry about no updating here, it's just hard to find the time. I will update here and there once we get a little deeper into the mountains
Rah Rah Lance must be doping cause If I was his age I couldn't be
compititive. etc etc.
I didn't hear it, but I heard Bob Roll said he couldn't imagine why Lemond, who he loves like a brother (they were team mates), would stoop so low to attack Lance. He said the phone conversation between Lance and Lemond got very ugly.
So, Lance went out today and rode the legs off Ullrich, Mayo, Hamilton and Heras. Only the young buck Basso could stay with him.
Lemond was the reason I got interested in cycling. It's hard to believe he would turn against Lance. Lance who's never failed a drug test.
Sheesh. Makes me just sick.

Lance Armstrong has been hinting at the good vibrations and sensations in his legs, but today, he laid to rest any doubt the world might have about his form, his fitness, or his resolve.
He annihilated almost all of his rivals for GC on a stage that didn’t promise to open up such huge time gapes.
He took 2.5 minutes out of Ullrich and Heras, one minute-plus out of Mayo, and over 3 minutes out of Tyler Hamilton, who had a very tough day on the roads to La Mongie.
If you’re one of Lance’s rivals in this year’s Tour, your only hope is that Lance has an off day -- and you have the best day of your life -- to close the deficit he opened up on today’s stage.
And here's something I didn't know . . . from sport.telegraph:
Lance Armstrong said he was happy for Ivan Basso after the Italian crossed the line first at the 12th stage finish of the Tour de France at La Mongie yesterday.
The American five-times winner trailed just a bike length behind Masso to take the Tour de France by the scruff of the neck but his thoughts were with Masso whose mother is suffering with cancer.
"Ivan deserved to win the stage. He's a hell of a good guy and was strong on the final climb," said Armstrong.
"He and I have been friends for a long time. Now off the bike we're working on his mum's situation to see if she can win the fight against cancer.
"It was special for me to be out there with him. In the last week we haven't talked about the race but talked about his mum. It was a pleasure for me that I didn't win."
What a champion.

Today was a great day. A great breakaway by Lance, and very cool that Basso could stay with him. I heard today about what LeMond said to Armstrong and I was just appauled . Today I believe Lance will take the yellow, and keep it. It's goint to be a tough ride and judging by Voelecker's performance today, he won't last and Lance will take that time on him.
***Also a shame about Tyler Hamiltons's dog. In the last issue of Bicycling Magazine, Hamilton was on the cover and they had quite the article on him and his training. Many pictures included of him and his dog, they were buddies...really a shame. TODAY IS THE DAY PEOPLE!
All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz & i'm fine
Well no yellow for Lance today, Voeleckner just squeeked it out by about 15 sec. He sould pull ahead tomm. though. This little french guy can't keep up this trend, he's been gettin' lucky though a good effort
UPDATE: Armstrong :22 sec off the lead, Jan Ullrich 7:13 off the front
He's not doing too well

I'll be honest, I'm starting to worry about Ivan Basso. He's keeping up with Lance in the mountains. Don't get me wrong, I still have faith in Lance, but usually nobody can compete with him here....
so Basso finishes with lance in the front the next few days. Lance still has a min+ lead on him so there is no real way he can win unless something dramatic happens (everyone knock on wood!!!!!) Lance is just a god on that bike and shows no signs of letting up. Next Sunday could/will be a very special day in the world of cycling.

Don't get me wrong, I still think Lance will win. Just having this guy, an unknown, hanging with Lance during this stretch, which is where Lance is supposed to dominate is a concern. It would only take one wreck caused by a French "fan" like last year to get Basso ahead of him at this point.
Well after he fell last year, remember what happened. He devastated the field adn came back to win the satge by sumthin' like 2min...I don't see Basso being to huge of an issue. Someone to keep and eye on, surely.

In the time trial today, Lance not only won the stage, he DESTROYED the field! His time was 61 seconds better than anyone else in the short stage, (approx 10 miles). He even passed Ivan Basso on the course, despite Basso starting 2 minutes ahead of him!
Lance now has an overall lead of 3:48 over Basso, and Ullrich is 4th, way back at 7:55.
It would take a disaster at this point to prevent Lance from staking claim as history's greatest cyclist.
